We are booked in August for a Lagoon view concierge room. I am wondering if anyone has stayed in this type of room and what the view was like. Also are there any extra ammenities in the room? What kinds of food offerings did the Concierge Lounge have?:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Stayed in one of these rooms last summer for five days. My view (don't remember the number) was not particularly exciting -- could see the lagoon over some trees. The room was a little on the small size, but very nice. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in there -- my son wanted to spend any free time in the fantastic pool. I think the rooms in concierge are pretty much the same as the standard rooms in the rest of the hotel.

The snacks in the lounge were good, and the staff did a good job of keeping things stocked. My son really enjoyed the mini-hotdogs -- he still talks about those. Other than that, we really didn't eat there much. I recall that in the late afternoon there was usually cheese, nuts, fruit, crackers, and several hot cocktail-type snacks. There were sometimes little pb&j sandwiches. I think they had chicken wings once. They play Disney movies in the lounge, and my son enjoyed hanging out for an hour or so with other kids his age watching Tarzan.

At night they had various desserts, wine, and cordials. The desserts certainly looked impressive -- the same things you see in Disney bake shops for a lot of money (although the ones I tried didn't actually taste that great, oddly enough). The wine was plentiful and pretty good.

We mostly used the lounge for hot tea and soft drinks; it was so convenient to be able to run in and ask for a few sodas whenever we wanted. I probably drank at least a six pack a day. They also had bottled water, which was nice.

Also -- the NYTimes every morning at our door! The staff was really nice and helped several times with last minute reservations at Disney restaurants. I am sure that with two small children you will find it super convenient and enjoyable. It is certainly super expensive, so it better be enjoyable, right? :p

We just returned from the BC concierge in May, we had a great time! We had room 5687, it was a great room and view, we could see the boardwalk and the pool. The offerings in the lounge were really nice. We would get coffee, juice, fruit, cereal and toast in the morning. They had great oatmeal raisin cookies! My DS loved them. For the kids there was always PB & J crustables and in the evening they even had Mac & Cheese, my DS favorite. They also had some nice dips with flat breads, cheese & crackers, and veggies & dip. The desserts were very good. Try the carrot cake and cheesecake. My DM and I would get a nice class of Baileys each night. The staff was wonderful.

As for extras in the room, we received a daily newspaper and turndown service. The evening maid always left extra chocolates for my DS. When we checked in there was a chocolate picture frame in the room. They even set-up a little birthday party in the room for my DS!

Have a great trip.
