I just returned from WDW today and had breatfast at the Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. My 14 y/o nephew and I were staying at the WDW Dolphin resort, but decided to go to the breakfast at the BC instead because of what I had read on these posts. Overall, it was a great breakfast. The restaurant was full, we even had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to be seated past our PS times. We were seated in a small booth for two close to the serving area. I noticed that most adults without kids were seated in these booths. The food was very good, with a nice selection although there was not a huge assortment of foods. Just right for us. Our server, Dottie, was great refilling our beverages often and coming around to check up on us. After about 20 to 30 minutes, I noticed that the characters would come out of the service door, and pass us by on their way to other tables. I asked Dottie how often they came by, and she was surprised one had not come by to visit yet. She advised the character manager about this and after a brief while, Chip came by, followed by Goofy. Minnie was also there, but we would have to go up to the entrance to see her. The character manager, from China (I didn't get her name) was very nice and came by to chat with us a bit. I would recomend this breakfast anytime.
