Beach Club Bus Stop & BC/YC?

We are planning a trip to Disney for the first time with our 2 girls (ages 4 and 2). My wife and I have stayed at the YC a couple of years ago. And I remember the bus stop was fairly close to the main doors. However, by looking on the resort map the BC's bus stop fairly far from the front door. Not to mention that boat dock is behind the YC.

I am just trying to figure out the pros and cons of both resort. We ahve pretty much decided on staying at one or the other.

Also, I have started to plan just a little bit in advance (2 years). We are not planning on going until Sept. or Oct of 2009. Does anyone know if they are planning any rehabs for either resort anytime soon?

Yep, your right, at YC the bus stop seems a lot closer that the BC one. We have never stayed at BC but noticed it when we would ride the bus to MK. Not to mention YC is picked up first. And the YC has some rooms where you can exit out a side door and literally walk onto the boarwalk to the marina. We have had rooms in that location twice and are hoping for it a gain in January. GOod luck with your decision. I'm sure you'll be happy with either place. After all, you're at Disney, right?? Personally we enjoy the solitude of the YC, the BC always seems a bit to frantic for us.

Ditto! We loved the YC! Closer to the kiddie pool/beach area as well! Coming home at ight, we would be the only family getting off at the YC! And we always had first pick to the seats on the bus getting picked up first!

I've stayed at both the YC and the BC with my children. Personally, I like the feel of the Beach Club with kids. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't let the distance of the stops dictate where I stay, unless of course you have mobility issues involved. I just feel that the Beach Club is much more kid friendly than the Yacht Club. Either resort is fantanstic, but the BC has the feel of little ones in the lobby, etc., and the YC give me the feeling of a little more upscale, for lack of a better word, environment. The BC is just more laid back. Again, that's just my opinion. Enjoy your planning!

It is a very short walk from the bus stop to the lobby. And, it is a much closer walk to Epcot. We love the BC!!!

distance from the BC bus stops to the front door is about 100 yards, maybe less. It's not that bad of walk, or push (if you have strollers).
