Be Our Guest

Looking for clarification ..

Our hotel stay at POR begins on 10/17 and we are hoping for dinner at BOG for DD's birthday on Saturday, 10/18. The earliest date I can begin going online to hopefully make a reservation is April 20, 2014 right? Just wanted to make sure I started on the earliest possible date that I could .. and it's at 6:00 a.m. EST right? Are the odds of getting an ADR better by going online or calling?

Haven't worried about making ADR for several years so a little rusty with it. LOL

I had no idea you could FP+ this as a lunch option? When do you get to set that up? Is it 180 days out like dining reservations? We will be at Disney 1/30-2/6/15. Right now I have room only reservations as I'm waiting to see what deals come out on packages later this summer.

I think most of April is open but wonder if your problem might have something to do with your using the FP+ previously? There have been some posts from people who used the FP+ on another trip and are now having problems making one for a new trip. I have no hotel reservation currently yet I can log in and make FP+ for the next 5-6 days, strange.

Is there another person on your resort ressie whose e-mail addy you can use to make an FP+ with?

Thanks for the suggestion but I am the planner. DH does not have an account set up. Hmmm. Don't know what to do. May call Disney and ask for assistance. We really did enjoy the lunch in September.

Disney Dining won't/can't help you. They will tell you that the BOG FP+ is for select invited guests. Which is true, except someone who got the invite posted the link here.

Why not set up a Disney.com account? or does he perhaps have one for ESPN.com? I think that qualifies too.

I have been trying to make a luch reservation at BOG I am registered at DME
I am looking for BOG lunch on 6/26/14.
Ok I know this has probably been asked, but just wanted to clarify how it works
When I go to BOG reservation it doen't show me luch time.
Even when I pick a date in April it still doen't show up.
So please how is this done.
Thanks

right now its a test for select invited on site guests but the special link was posted here and DISers have been using it for 6 months. Each month has been opening up around the 14-20th of the month before, but April opened about at the same time as March. No way to know what form the BOG FP+ will have for your trip next year. There has been a lunch BOG FP+ option on MDE for a few months now but it doesn't work; looks like they might be planning on making it part of the regular FP+ but no way to know.

I hope I understand what others are saying. I am able to make my ADR's in 12 days. :cool1: I am really hoping for BOG for dinner. Luckily with the 180 + 10, our MK day is 5 days after check in so I am hoping to get lucky with a dinner ADR. According to what I read, I will need my confirmation number that is associated to my magic band, correct? I want to have everything ready at 6:00 a.m. That way I can get on and start doing what I need to do.

Thank you in advance.

ONLINE: 6am EST
Phone: 7am EST

Better to try online 1st, 1hr advantage over phone line.

I made a BOG FP reservation but I was wondering what happens if we don't show up? Do I get charged like a regular missed ADR?:confused3

No, because it is not a reservation, it is a FP to bypass the regular line at a counter service restaurant for lunch. You do not provide a credit card number when requesting your FP. If you do not show up it should not be a problem, just as if you miss a FP at a ride.

If you want a dinner ADR, you just need your resort confirmation number. If you are making the ADR online, then your resort confirmation should already be there (assuming you have a MDE account), and in fact needs to be if you are taking advantage of the +10 perk for onsite guests.

If you are trying for a BOG lunch FP+ (which is only open through April), that is a different website and you need to enter a confirmation number that does not have letters in it - that is where you need the magic band number.
