What is known about what type of restaurant this is going to be?
Sit down, Quick service, Character eatery?

When will it open?

Thanks for any info out there.
Iris :)

supposedly fast food during the day, sitdown at night...

nobody knows any kind of date....probably labor day is a good guess...but that could be changed for any reason

thank you for that quick reply. I thought I had missed something, but this is about what I have heard.

I am a beta member of insidEARS.com and was afraid to look like a dork, not knowing enough.

thanks, that helped a lot :goodvibes

Everything including any opening date are pretty much rumors at this point. The prevailing rumor is that dinner will not be a character meal, but there's nothing official.

thanks. you all make me feel better. Now I have posted a question about this on that other site. Since it's run by insiders, maybe they will give up some info that I then can pass on to you

I am not planning to eat there unless I hear they have stellar food. At least not until the novelty dies down a bit.

I'm guessing this will start out as 1 TS and with no characters (the restaurant will provide assorted ambiance factors as a tradeoff).

I'm also guessing it will be a la carte full service and prices will be high (for 1 TS). Think average entree price of at least $30, with more expensive entrees at least $35 (Disney is always looking for ways to entice people to buy a dining plan and making prices high while at the same time starting out at 1 TS accomplishes this).

I'm guessing food quality will be somewhat similar to CRT (anyone expecting true signature restaurant quality is going to be disappointed).

If demand is crazy high and stays that way (like the old days of CRT when you had to use an atomic clock to get an ADR) it will most likely get bumped up to 2 TS at some point. But that won't mean the food quality will be any better.

Sorry if this sounds cynical (believe me, I'm as curious about this restaurant as anyone and hope it exceeds my expectations).
