It's been awhile since we've been to Disney and I know that you should have an ADR, but is there any ability to wait in line or is that long gone? TIA :)

Okay, thank you! I figured that was the case, but I just wanted to check. :)

If you want breakfast or lunch and can't get an ADR for your whole party, try breaking it up into several close to or overlapping ADRs .. you seat yourself so that works out just fine.

Also, keep checking the website as your trip gets closer. I was able to snag two reservations about 30 days before this trip.

Just want to note that the last 2 times I've had lunch at BOG (Jan 2014 and May 2017), we were held after paying and seated by a cast member. Although I'm sure if we were with another party, we could have just told them we were together and would have been accommodated.

Interesting. Only time we were seated it was to help us find an empty table as we wandered about, it was packed and folks were not leaving. We eat there at least twice a year and never been seated otherwise. Now it shouldn't be a problem anyway as hopefully you've joined up in line but if not just tell the CM you have xx more coming, they are in line still. NBD.

I'd be curious how many others have been seated? at QS meals.

Had the same experience last June.

We had two lunches at BOG this past January. No one attempted to seat us during our first lunch. They did walk us back for lunch #2 and were going to seat us in the ballroom. The place was not at all crowded, though, and we asked if we might sit in the gallery instead since we had not sat in there before. They were more than happy for us to do so. The gallery was nearly empty. Oddly, the lunch where they did not seat us was super busy and it was difficult to find a clean or empty table. Lunch #1 was on a Sunday at 11:25 am. Lunch #2 was on a Thursday at 1:05pm.

Also, for the OP, you could try the reservation finder on touring plans if you have trouble finding an ADR on your own.

We were able to get a Saturday lunch in October on a Friday night. Lots of people cancel right before they get charged for no shows so you can sometimes pick something up. We also had lunch this past May with 8 and were not seated with a CM. The only problem we had was trying to get a table large enough for all of us, but we did it.

The first time or two we we ate at Be Our Guest for lunch, a Cast Member seated our party. That was a few years ago when the restaurant was new and slammed every moment of every day. Though it's still hard to secure a reservation, the craziness has definitely worn off a bit has time has gone in. I've been able to select my own table in later visits, the most recent of which came over MLK weekend in January.

At our 180 day mark, I was unable to get either breakfast, lunch or dinner for any of our 5 days. :sad1: We are a party of 2.

For lunch or breakfast, try looking for two reservations for 1 person that are close to each other. It's QS, so once you are in the restaurant, you can order and eat together. If that doesn't work, if you happen to be walking by, ask nicely if they have room for 2. They may say no, but we've walked up twice and have gotten lucky. Just be prepared, if you weren't able to pre-order with an ADR, for a very long wait to order at the kiosks.

One time we were a party of 8 and we were able to get 2 tables of 4 - while we were in Disney - 2 days before we wanted to go. Keep trying especially close to the day.

It was recommended to us to show up around 4PM day of to see if they have had any cancellations.

We had a BOG lunch May 16 and seated ourselves. We had two ADR's with 6 people total and got one of the big round tables in the ballroom.

We had a BOG Dinner ADR last week, and this woman in front of us did NOT have an ADR. The Cast Member sent her inside and said they would seat her. BOG wasn't full when we went around 7pm.

We went up to ask in September right before a MNSSHP started and got seated! We were doing the party and our friends had never eaten there. I'm guessing that's really rare and probably because it was a party night, but still, I'll take it!
