Hi everyone! We'll be at Disney World for quick trip at the end of the month, specifically, the Magic Kingdom on the last Friday of January. Every day I look for Be Our Guest reservations online but haven't had any luck so far Is there any way we could walk up when they open for lunch on that Friday and get seated? If so, how long would the wait be (if anyone's done this)? Or do we pretty much have to have a reservation? Thanks!

You can try to walk up, but it is quite common to be turned away as a walk up. Lunch reservations are based on number of chairs, and so it is difficult to accommodate walk-ups without having capacity issues.

keep trying to get reservations. I went at the busiest time of the year (12/27 - 12/31) and on new years eve I got reservations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I got lunch about 2 weeks before we went, I got dinner about 5 days before we left and I got breakfast while we were there on 12/30 (1 day before). Keep looking several times a day.

Last resort you can try to walk in, go early when lunch first starts. A trick that sometimes works is check for the ADR the night before closer to midnight. you get charged a no-show and that's the last chance for people who are changing their plans the next day to avoid the fee. 50/50 chance but you never know.

We've gotten lunch reservations the day of based on other people canceling, so if you are flexible it is indeed possible. We actually prefer The Plaza and Liberty Tree Tavern to BoG for meals, so perhaps you could book something at one of those as an alternate

Just yesterday I got a lunch for five of us on Feb 2nd. So they do open up sometimes!

Keep checking - including the day before. When we were there over Christmas we weren't impressed so we ended up canceling another reservation we had for later in the trip. We are certainly glad we tried it and got to experience the various rooms (we had both a breakfast and dinner there) - but they ended up being some of our least favorites of the trip. There are people's whose plans change while at WDW and will cancel - so keep trying - the MDE app worked great for this.

I just now booked it for lunch the last Friday, Jan 29th. They come up all the time, just a matter of checking off and on.

Lunch!! We've eaten there several times and have ressies again for lunch the first week of Feb. The braised pork and french onion soup is very yummy. They can keep their tiny little cupcakes - not a fan. I prefer 'many' other desserts to those.

If I have a choice between lunch and dinner at BOG, which do you recommend I go for?

Obviously the room is the same and the food is delivered to you either way and I vote LUNCH!!!

- Lunch menu is a good food for a quick service meal.
- Lunch/breakfast a great value for a QSDP credit.
- You still get to see the room for less cost.
- Great way to relax and have a meal in middle of the day.
- Skip dessert and get a yummy sweet elsewhere in the park.
- Dinner felt no different at all, just more expensive.
- Did not feel dinner was a value to Disney Dining Plan.

I got a lunch reservation yesterday for next Saturday. Just keep checking. I was shocked to get it, but people cancel all the time.
