Disney changed the opening time for our Magic Kingdom day to AM making our 8:10am reservation right during prime rope drop touring time. I was wondering if I could ride a couple rides then show up late for the breakfast. How late do you think we could show up and still be seated? I was thinking about Jungle cruise and Pirates at least. I know I should just cancel the breakfast, but my daughter really wants to eat there.

You can typically show up 20 minutes late to a Disney restaurant & they'll seat you. You might get lucky showing up even later, but don't count on it.

There is usually an "unofficial" grace period of about 15 minutes...but I wouldn't risk being later than that.

Those 2 rides take some time. I don't think you would be able to ride both of them and then get over to BOG in time to keep your ADR.

sadly the early opening messed up your plans. Even though it is CS, by making you have an ADR you are on the hook for a no show and the fees associated. Did you REALLY want bfast there or just to get in PPO?

If it was mostly to see the place but the $24 bfast is not a draw, then cancel. Rebook for later, or lunch or something.

An extra hour at 8 is nice. It is still relatively cool ad you can get much done in that hour and beyond

You need to make a choice: breakfast or early access to attractions? I would ditch the adr and look for a later one. BOG is a different animal than many other restaurants, so I'd you are late you may or may not be seated. If they turn you away you will be charged a no show fee, which is on you because if your choice to try to hit an attraction first.

Jungle Cruise and Pirates are a pretty major hike to BOG and not fast rides.

Cancel your ADR and look for something later. It's one thing to accidentally be late because the monorail did the monorail thing. It's another to plan to be late.

I had a similar deal and just canceld my ADR. I had also booked a diner for BOG and was planning to cancel one anyway.

Maybe see if you can move your reservation back to lunch or something.

We showed up 10 minutes late for a lunch reservation there because the little mermaid ride broke down and we were stuck on it. When we walked up the lady gave us a big condescending lecture about being late. Lol. We explained about the ride, but she just kept saying it was our responsibility to be on time and the ride was no excuse. It was funny and annoying at the same time. I just wanted her to let us eat or turn us away. Finally she let us check in.

Honestly, breakfast at MK isn't anywhere near as appealing as it used to be to me because of the new park opening process. It used to really be worth it to plan a PPO breakfast. The only time we think it makes sense to make an ADR for a MK breakfast now is if we are NOT planning to spend time doing attractions in the park - so we have Crystal Palace scheduled on our departure day and for a day during another trip that we are spending at a water park. I would try to schedule lunch (or even better, dinner) at BOG instead.

Regarding riding Jungle Cruise and POTC... if the opening is now morning EMH, it may include Tomorrowland and Fantasyland only; that was the setup during my two morning EMH visits last month.

did they change park opening of add an EMH to that day? if it is park opening change you could to your 2 rides and be late but if it is an EMH change those ride will not be open so it makes a difference which it is

If the park opens before 9 a.m. on a day we have/had PPO reservations, we move our breakfast reservation to the latest time slot possible - I think we are making it a 10:15 a.m. at CRT... food-wise, we prefer breakfast and that's about the latest we can get it... choosing to enjoy short lines from 8-10 a.m., then start our fast passes when we finish breakfast / lunch at CRT. We are lucky that our Be Our Guest PPO day that opening is still 9 a.m. (8:30 a.m. for Main St), so we still have an edge to Mine Train.

Thanks everyone! I will have to choose. The only reason I thought it might work is because I know that for breakfast at BOG they will seat you way before your time if you arrive early. This is one of my daughters favorites, so we may go ahead and keep it. There is no later time available right now.

I had a PPO for the 3rd and they must've just changed the hours for an 8 am opening so it's no longer pre park. Oh well I just changed it to a 12:00 lunch and have a dinner reservation there a few days before anyways and still have a FP for SDMT

When the park opens at 8, so does BOG save for a handful of days near Easter and Christmas. There is no "seat early" on an 8AM open.

Well, the good news is they extended the hours again for May 27th and I was able to get a 10:55pm FP+ for Mine Train! That kind of made up for loosing the PPO BOG. Thanks for all the responses everyone!
