We are heading down to celebrate my 50th birthday and I want to have dinner at BoG. Of course this place is tough to get into especially during free dining.

Well I just checked and there was a reservation available for the night of my birthday at 7:35. The only problem is that this falls on a MNSSHP night. The party starts at 7:00 and they start kicking out people without wristbands at that time. Since the times are so close and they tell you to arrive early for your reservation anyways I am thinking that as long as we are in the park and checked in at the restaurant by 7:00 we should be fine.

We have already done the MNSSHP and don't really want to spend the $$$ on this just to eat at the restaurant. I am also not suggesting staying after dinner for the activities.

What are your thoughts on this? Will it be OK or will be not be seated without a wristband?

I was bookign one this AM - and now if they are at 7 or after the website says that you must have the extra ticket to dine during that time frame

You cannot book the ADR unless everyone in your party has a ticket for MNNSHP.

It doesn' tsho wup on the website, but on the app is says:

Your reservatoin occurs ding Fantasyland (??) which requires a seperate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your party hold tickets for the event

You can book the ADR, you just can't use it unless everyone has a ticket!

I keep getting alerts from Disney Dining Buddy about a reservation being open on the night I want. I was able to book it at 7pm, but we aren't going to the Halloween party that night, so I cancelled. I'm not really sure why Disney even has the restaurant open. I can't imagine there are that many people who would spend valuable time eating at a table service restaurant, but I guess I could be wrong....

I guess what I am asking is if you are in the restaurant before the party, will they still honor the reservation. I will be calling WDWdine after work.

According to the website, NO. If your dining time is 7pm or later, they will not seat you. This is what I was told. Now, if you show up at 6:30 and they can seat you early, maybe that would work. But I wouldn't count on that happening. And I honestly think it'll just depend on the CM who checks you in. Some may seat you, some may not.

No.

If you try to book the ADR, you will be informed that you cannot make the reservation unless everyone in your party has a MNSSHP ticket. If you book it anyway and show up at the restaurant, they will not seat you and you will be charged the $10 per person no show fee.

I realize that isn't what you want to hear, but that's the way it is.

When you make the reservation online, you will get this message:

"Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

So, the answer to your question is no. It's pretty clear. When checking in for BOG, you aren't even in the restaurant (you check in outside the restaurant and you wait outside in the park) and, in many cases, if you show up early for the reservation, they ask you to come back 15 minutes prior to your reservation time, so, in essence you would be in the park while waiting for your reservation and you don't have a ticket for the event, so you can't be there. Believe me, they will escort you out. We had a pre-MNSSHP reservation at Tony's a few years ago and did not have tickets for the party. As soon as we were done with dinner, we were promptly (though politely) escorted out of the park. Yes, we got to eat dinner, but our reservation was for 6:30 pm. Why risk it? You will probably end up being escorted out of the park and slapped with a no-show fee. Your best bet is to continue to search for an earlier time that doesn't conflict with MNSSHP or a different date altogether.

1) Nope.
2) The rules are simple.
3) ADR before 7:00pm or get a ticket for the party.
4) Anything else is simply trying to get around the system - and maybe taking an ADR away from someone at the party wanting to eat.
5) And, BoG is so busy, they seldom let you in early, so the question is moot.

Thanks for all the replies. As I said, not trying to cheat the rules, just trying to get clarification.

I have a reservation booked at 7 pm on a party night, and I have no message like you're talking about. I don't see that anywhere. Where would I find it?

That was not what I was told when I called Disney directly to inquire about the same thing. I was told that in order to make the reservation and if I was NOT attending the party that evening that I would have to be in the park well before 7p when the party officially starts. That I would be able to eat at BOG, then would have to leave.

I just called and asked and was told that I could NOT keep this reservation time without a party ticket.

Unfortunately, you can't trust anything a phone CM tells you.

You cannot have an ADR after 6:55 unless you have a party ticket.

Not correct. Sadly many phone CMs are not well versed in anything more than the basics. To my knowledge you have never been able to utilize an ADR that starts at the same time as a party or later. So all 7 pm or later ADRs, everyone must have a wristband or proof of a party ticket to eat.

No party tickets, no dining reservations past 6:55 pm.

At some point in the reservation process this should show. It is among other things and sometimes not obvious.

"Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

They have started adding items like this on the front of restaurant pages. This is BOG on a party night. For the 7-8 pm dinners you must have event ticket.

Pay the $3.99 for disney dining scout. I was able to get lunch at BOG three different days in 24 hours by using these notifications. Best money I ever spent!
