Be Our Guest Lunch- without reservation?

I've been trying everyday to get a Rez but have only managed a 10:40 PM time so far. I'm hoping my diligence will pay off but if it doesn't I'll keep this late night time. My question: given the lateness, would we be able to just order dessert?

Yes, you can most definitely order just dessert.

Keep checking! People cancel all the time. And definitely use the cancellation thread for the month you are going. Cannot tell you how much that has helped us get the hard to get adrs we needed.

Yep to this!! People don't want the penalty for being a no-show, keep trying & good luck !

Recently got an ADR the night before. Check every day, up until the actual day

You may order anything you like. Don't worry about that.

I hope something opens up that suits your family, but don't stress. It won't be the best meal you've ever had. The Beast interaction won't be out of this world special. It's a nice place, with decent food. Keep that in mind over all the craziness of planning. I need to repeat this to myself often! If it helps, our most memorable Character interaction was with Princess Tiana in totally random circumstances. We saw her running for the morning M&G and she said hi to us. Then we saw her later in the afternoon on the way to the parade or something. She remembered our kids! They think Tiana is the best, and so do we! Best character memory out of their two trips.

Our plans changed and now we're back to needing a BOG lunch.
I had to break up my party of 4 to get ADRs for lunch but they have slightly varying times (11, 1110, 1115):

1) Will we all be able to go in at the same time?
2) Will we have 3 separate "roses" or can we combine into one “rose"
3) And correct me if I'm wrong but since tables aren't reserved, we can all sit together, right?

I've only been to BOG for dinner so I have no idea how lunch works.

1. Maybe.

2. Separate, yes, especially if you pre-order.

3. Yes, you can sit together.

I'm a little perplexed at this "ADR for 1" phenomenon. Does the restaurant actually have tables that only seat 1? You'd think if you can book a table for 1, you can book a table for 2. It's not like they would seat a party of 1 with a non-related party of 3 at a 4-top!

Anyway, I would recommend following the cancellation thread of the month you're going. I was able to score a dinner reservation last year on the 24-hour day in May from someone dropping one, two weeks before my trip.

On each of our last 2 trips I tried like crazy to get ADRs, but couldn't. Each time I went up to the restaurant check in desk and asked if they had cancellations - got in for lunch both times. (May/June trips). So don't give up.

BOG breakfast and lunch are QS, despite the ADR. People seat themselves. They are not escorted to a seat by a host. So BOG ADRs are based on total room capacity with cheerful disregard for those things called "table sizes."

It's pure fire code math.

Ah, I see. So you could, in theory, have a party of 2 with nowhere to sit because 2 parties of 1 are each seated at a 2-top?

There are places for those 2 to sit. At the empty chairs at those tables.

Might be awkward, but the math of ADR capacity for breakfast and lunch makes those assumptions.

Yup. We went a busy day, two of us, couldn't find a table. A CM stepped up and offered to help and proceeded to take us to the back of the Rose Gallery and seat us at a table for 6. So we had effectively taken a party of 6's table. We did sit at one end so if another 2, or friendly 4 wanted to sit with us they could. Am sure their ADR numbers algorithm accounts for this but again, it's hard to know how many small parties will just take a big table - you see it all the time in fast food locations, a pet peeve of ours.

I know when I worked in NYC I learned quickly if I wanted to eat lunch at lunch time I would be sitting with strangers. :crowded:
