Our plans have shifted around and unfortunately, I have lost my lunch reservations at BOG :( how easy is it to eat there without a reservation at lunch? Will I still be waiting for an hour+ like it used to be, of has it dwindled down some? We will be there in mid-May.

Thanks!

Like any other hard-to-get ADR restaurant in WDW, they may or may not be taking walk-ups on any given day. Because lunch is QS, you may want to try breaking your party up and trying for multiple ADR's around the same time. You can even try for multiple parties of 1. As long as the ADR's are around the same time, you can all, at least, sit together once you've gotten into the restaurant and ordered. We did walk up once, but we were a party of 2 and I noticed an ADR for 1 was available, so we quickly walked over to see if they could seat both of us and the answer was yes!

Keep checking! People cancel all the time. And definitely use the cancellation thread for the month you are going. Cannot tell you how much that has helped us get the hard to get adrs we needed.

Definitely keep checking! We went last June (which is a fairly busy time) and I was able to get reservations about 4 days before our trip!

The chances of walk ups are slim and none. They do not do them now, like they did at the beginning.
I agree with PP, keep checking for cancellations. It is most likely your only shot at ti

Definitely check, and re-check, and check again to get a reservation. We went last month on a crowd level 1 day and they were turning away walk-ups while we were checking in (and we had a fairly late lunch), so I'm guessing chances of any kind of walk up are pretty much zero.

Keep checking as walk ups are few to none. I broke down our group of 10 into 7 different ADRs and we were able to eat at BOG this way. Try making ADRs for 1 person at a time.

Agree with the others keep checking. We were just there last week and I was able to get an ADR the day before. And the morning of there were actually 2 times available, which sadly I couldn't switch to since I was within the cancel window.

If you do get a reservation, order your food in advance. Line is WAY shorter if you do.

Could not agree more with ordering ahead! What a time saver! The line to order looked very unmagical...

Definitely keep checking. We just got lunch last week at only 5 days out. But like others have said it's very rare to get a walk up. We've eaten there a number of times now and every time we go they are turning people away.

I also agree if you do get in make sure you order ahead. Made that mistake last year and stood in line forever. Ordered ahead last trip and we were seated with our food within minutes even with having to talk to a chef about food allergies.

Thanks Michael.
Is it possible to see what changes we could make-eg removal of dressings etc?

The pre-order window opens at 30 days from the reservation, so if you can make a dummy reservation that's less than 30 days in the future you can play around with the pre-order process. Just remember to cancel the ADR so you don't get charged the no show fee.

When I booked our package last June for Oct. 2015 BOG on WDW site said the restaurant took walk-ups for breakfast and lunch. 2 weeks before we were going I found out that they changed to ADR required for breakfast and lunch. I was frantic and kept calling. Eventually I had to book 2 people at 9:25am and 3 people at 9:30am, we were all able to go in at the same time order at the same kiosk on the same ticket (QSDP) and picked out a table for all of us. Keep checking and I even called at least 3 times a day to get our BOG ADR.

I was also informed, from calling Disney reservations line, that walk-ups would not be accepted.

We ate there last week and someone tried to walk up at 11:15. The host told her to return after 2 to see if they had availability. So to me it sounds possible if you are willing to eat at an off time.

Whenever I've been there they turned away all walk-ups saying ADRs only. I would keep trying for an ADR. Your chances of getting in otherwise are very, very slim. Good luck!

I've been trying everyday to get a Rez but have only managed a 10:40 PM time so far. I'm hoping my diligence will pay off but if it doesn't I'll keep this late night time. My question: given the lateness, would we be able to just order dessert?

Best bet is keep checking especially close to the dates you are going, people cancel. It is still worth a try checking for a walk in, but I highly doubt it. But, good luck!!
