Be Our Guest Lunch with unusual allergy

I see that there are special ways Disney meets the needs of people with allergies to eggs, nuts, dairy, etc. - more common allergens - at Be Our Guest.

I have a slightly more rare potato allergy. If I order something that normally comes with mashed potatoes or fries (which most do), is there anything I can do to switch out a side for veggies or sweet potato wedges at Be Our Guest? (Cross contamination or trace amounts are not an issue.)

Can I still order in advance? Or what would happen if I went to a self-service kiosk? What can I do?

I'm not sure exactly what kinds of substitutions they can do, but they'll do what they can. When you go to order at the food kiosk, there will be a CM there helping people. Just let him know about possible substitutions you may need. When we ate breakfast there, we were able to easily substitute the egg whites for scrambled eggs, simply by asking the CM at the food kiosks.
