Be Our Guest Lunch FP - Adding Family on another reservation?

I was able to book a lunch FP at Be Our Guest for my wife and I. No issues with that as we are on the same resort reservation.

My parents on the other hand, who are staying at the same resort, are on a completely different room reservation.

Is there a way for my parents to be added to my existing lunch FP reservation?

Or do I have to book them a separate reservation (hopefully within the same timeframe as mine) and then hope a cast member can put us at the same table?

You can only make a BOG lunch FP for the number of persons registered in your room.

They would need to use their own resort reservation number and make a separate reservation for about the same time. I am not sure you can do it for them, you might be able to if you have their resort reservation number.

At lunch, they do not seat you. You select your own table after you order.

I did it last year for my sister's family who had their own room. Sis gave me her disneystore.com log and password and I made the FP+ for them. We had overlapping times, checked in together and were sent into the restaurant together. it was pretty easy
