Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

I'm new to this board and was trying like everyone else to get FP+ for Be Our Guest. We check in 11/12 and have been patiently waiting the 27 day window. But I just read the following on All Ears website:

Be Our Guest Lunch Accepting FP+ ONLY! No walkups until further notice
October 08, 2014

Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom is currently only accepting FP+ reservations for lunch. They are not accepting walkups until further notice.

Perhaps that is why nobody has been able to get FP+ for November.

Right. If you read the posts above yours and the previous page, that's what everyone is discussing. It's probably related. :worried:

I tried to get an ADR for dinner... Any night from nov 1-8th. I woke up at 5:40am EST 180 days out and like a good little planner was at the ready when the clock turned to 6:00. There were tons of times open for BoG. I snagged one and got all the way through entering my cell number to reserve and then the whole system died. Error messages saying the reservation system was not available at this time. I tried everything I could think of. Until the phone lines opened. I was speed dialing by then. And of course... It was booked solid for any time that entire 7 nights. The CM told me that the system had crashed cause it was the first day fastpasses opened for Mine Train.

So adding this experience on top of that has just left me with a very sour taste. This trip is for my twins 10th birthday and right now I feel like Disney IT has "crashed" part of the experience.

At this point I see no way for this restaurant to possibly live up to all this stress and hype.

BOG is going to be a very empty restaurant this way. :)

It will compliment the empty cars they're currently sending through TSMM. Disney has finally solved their problem with long lines - just don't let anyone do anything. Satisfaction levels on the surveys are certain to soar.

How did you enjoy our line-free system?

A) it was better than expected
B) it was magical
C) this is the prettiest mall I've ever been to

JUST got my email "invitation." I had been checking the site before then because my 27 days came up a few days ago. No luck for me, either, of course. I don't get why they are still bothering to send these out. :confused3

Maybe they are going to build another dinning area and will close for lunch in Nov to allow them to work but still be open for dinner? They could add Belle's library.

Just open it for tours in the morning, let the gawkers have a look without needing and adr, and then those who are going for the food can book the meals. Or open it for breakfast so there are three times people can go in.

Can't you already eat in the Library? There's the west wing, ballroom and library you can eat in.

:lmao: Thanks for the laugh during this mess!

There is a lot of information here, so please be patient if I missed the answer to my question.

I have an upcoming split stay: a couple of days at WDW, then a cruise, then a few more days at WDW. So I have two resort reservations: POP before the cruise, POFQ after the cruise.

What I want to do is make a reservation for BOG lunch before I leave for the cruise. But I made a mistake. When signing up on that link, I accidentally used the reservation code for my post-cruise reservation instead of my pre-cruise reservation. Understandably, I can't make a lunch reservation before the cruise.

Does anyone know if I can change the resort reservation number that is associated with me and my email/login profile? I've tried different ways of logging in, including using two separate windows from the same browser, and using a second window on another browser. No matter what I do, the site won't let me into any place where I can change the reservation number. I can modify other aspects of the reservation, but I can't access the days during my first resort stay (understandably, because I have the second stay associated with my email address/profile).

Any suggestions are most appreciated. Thanks.

Like many of you, I've been checking non-stop since my 27-day window opened up. I am also looking for a November 2nd or November 4th FP reservation. I just received a little while ago the email invitation to dine at BOG. When I logged in, nothing had changed...still nothing available for those first few days in November.

Frustration is slowly turning to anger...

Same here. I've never gotten the email before, just used the direct link. Was hoping this meant there would be some openings... NOPE!

If your trip is in November it won't matter...at least for now. Nobody is able to book a lunch FP in November at this time. We're all hoping that changes soon! I can't answer your question, since the website doesn't even ask for my reservation number.

Saw this post by len testa on another forum...

I hear that after October 31, BoG will be FP+ only, and it'll count as 1 of your 3 advance FPs (or a day-of, if you can swing it). So 2 attractions + 1 restaurant.
:sad2:

Any word on when this will be added to MDE? I am within my 60 days and my daughter is desperate to get into that darn castle!!

This whole thing is ridiculous.

I don't think anyone posting stuff on the internets actually knows what's going on right now. But the list of speculations keeps growing...

That may be true, but you will likely get the answer here before you will get it from Disney.

Sad but true.

Ironically, the only part of their website that seems to work consistently is the part that takes your deposit. No problems there, everything else...... hit or miss. Mostly miss.

We had lunch there today and there was most definitely a standby line.

I made a similar error. To correct I just created a new log in with a different email address using the correct reservation number. In theory that should fix you up, but with no November dates available to anyone at this time we'll all still be waiting.

It's possibly a moot point at the moment, but the way to do it with the current system is to create a different login to the Be Our Guest Lunch system, with a new email address, and link your correct booking to that. It's not connected to the MDE system at all, so there is no downside to doing this.

That would make a lot of sense from Disney's perspective. They've proved that making FP+ reservations for lunch is very popular, but they must surely also be aware that the system they are currently testing is riddled with issues. It'd be much easier all round to just tie it into the main MDE system and be done with it, and that would allow off-site guests to book too. Shame if they are going to make it one of your three choices though, rather than an extra option.

That would also explain why the current system is blocked after 31 October, Disney never were much good at advanced planning to get their systems co-ordinated!

Except, BOG is not one of the choices for FP on MDE.. I just rechecked..
