Assuming we can get a reservation, would you recommend eating at BOG for Breakfast or Lunch? We are a family of 4, kids are 11 and 8. Looking for best food and best bang for buck on the Disney Dining Plan.

Thanks!

Lunch. The price of breakfast was just significantly raised. Not sure if lunch was.

Lunch

Breakfast is wildly overpriced and the food okay at best. OTOH, I really enjoy a couple of the lunch entrees.

I would definitely do lunch--a great use of a QS credit I think. Breakfast only seems appealing if you're really in it for early access to 7 dwarfs.

We enjoyed lunch there last week (I had croque monsieur and DH has roast beef sandwich), but I would definitely pre-order. We did not and ended up in a long line to place our order.

Lunch prices were also jacked up, but less ridiculously so than breakfast.

Lunch. You can swap your drink for a soup and have a great 3-course meal there if you're ok with drinking from a water bottle or something.

I've been trying to find where/how to preorder for lunch - I usually would get an email, but we are only going for the day - how did you pre-order? Thanks.

As soon as I made an ADR it immediately had the option on my MDE to modify, cancel or pre-order.

If you call up your plans on mydisneyexperience (on the computer; not the app), there are blue links on the side for Change Reservation, Cancel Reservation, and Pre-Order. Right now my reservation for our next trip says Pre-Order Beginning on Date.

We've really enjoyed lunch there a couple times. Getting ready to try breakfast there this next trip but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend someone to go for lunch

DD and I had both breakfast and lunch last trip. Lunch was chaotic to find a seat, but the food - it was actually better than most everything else we had that trip! We agreed that the roast beef sandwich and French Onion Soup were stellar. We didn't do dessert, but had soups instead then got lemonade and iced tea for the drinks (we were on the QSDP). I think the price before they cashed it out as 2 credits was over $50 for our lunch, so it was a good "deal" if on the plan.

We couldn't finish half our sandwiches! It was so much food. We both agree if we do go there for lunch again, we'll share the sandwich!

For our trip this past week, a lunch time showed up right at 7 days before. And for our next trip, one popped up at 2:10--I took it and then planned around that by having a late breakfast that day. Try putting in "Lunch" instead of a particular time when doing the search, if you're willing to eat even it an odd time.

Edited--this is in response to the BOG posts.

When we went in November we did breakfast and dinner at BOG. We had a pre-park opening BOG breakfast and got 2 meat and cheese platters to split between myself, DH, DS(8), DD(5) and DS(2). With the pastries that come with it, this was enough food for my crew and didn't cost that much. We refuelled a couple hours later with a snack and an earlier lunch. Pre-park opening breakfast was not that crazy and easy to find a table. Dinner we had to wait at least 1/2 hour after our reservation time and 40 minutes in line afterwards to meet the Beast. We will probably do breakfast next time if we can get pre-park opening and BOG lunch instead of Dinner.
