What is the Egg Scramble at BOG? What is so special that it's a "can't miss"

Are you talking about the eggs florentine or the egg white scramble? Either way, it's a breakfast item, and as of right now, breakfast at BoG is only available through July 18.

Not quite sure, I've seen it listed as BOG egg scramble on a couple of posts and I wasn't sure what it was.

Can't say I'm familiar with the BOG version. Can't help there.

As for an "Egg Scramble" it's pretty much a breakfast mash-up...hash-browns/potatoes, breakfast meat, peppers and onions, and sometimes cheese, all diced and mixed into scrambled eggs.

Nothing like that at BoG. The only scrambled eggs there are the scrambled egg whites, which don't look very special to me. They're only egg whites with a little green onion stirred in. And then there's the florentine which is scrambled eggs with spinach in a puff pastry. It does look good, but nothing that is a "can't miss."

I had the scrambled egg whites at BOG and didn't think they were all that special. Plus rather overpriced (especially since I don't view tomatoes as a breakfast food).

Yep. Definitely not worth $20 (although that cinnamon roll was good). But the atmosphere was nice and I got to ride SDMT before the park opened. So would I do it again? Probably.

I have a feeling people were talking about the Eggs Florentine because the egg whites are just plain - nothing special about those. Here's a photo I took of the Eggs Florentine that I had when we ate breakfast at BOG last month. The scrambled eggs in that giant puff pastry have some kind of cheese scrambled in with them - not sure exactly what kind of cheese it is, but it's nothing shy of awesome. I'm not even kidding. YUM-O! Pricey? Absolutely.

tomatoes are served for breakfast in the UK but I don't recall seeing them in France except to cater to the English tourists.

ETA: this makes me want to skip breakfast there. I can eat better meals for $20.

1) Maybe not the best example.
2) A British Breakfast can also include Blood Sausage, Baked Beans, Fried Tomato, Fried Bread.
3) If we include Scotland in the UK Breakfast mix, there could be Haggis. (YUM)

I LOVE tomatoes with my eggs, and I'm as southern as the day is long.

Tomatoes are one of my favorite breakfast foods. In eggs, grilled, julienned along side. YUM!

But, that scrambled egg white platte does look uninspired, for sure. Are the tomatoes at least grilled??

Mine were not grilled, but they were hella salted.
