We are going with a group of 8 during Spring Break and we only have 1.5 days at MK.
1. I have an 8:15 ADR for BoG on our full day. Will we be done by 9 to get straight to rides? Or would it be best to not to do BoG and be ready to get in at openings and go straight to rides? A friend said we wouldn't be done and would waste time in the restaurant.
2. What would be a good plan for 1.5 days? I was thinking try 3 lands on the full day and save one for the half? We will be checking out on our half day and I want to still get the most out of that day.

We had an 8:05 BOG in June. Order your food online in advance, and check in at 8:00 or as soon as you get there, whichever is earlier. We were out by 8:40 doing those things and rode Mine Train once before park opening.

Be at Magic Kingdom by 7:30 AM.

Go through Bag Check and go to the far left tapstiles-there will be Cast Members there to check your BOG ADR and you will then line up and be allowed into MK around 7:45 AM.

Go straight to BOG-you will be allowed to eat when they open at 8:00 AM even with your 8:15 AM ADR.

Finish eating and head to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train-there will be CMs before you get to SDMT "holding" BOG Guests.

BOG Guests are allowed to ride at some point before the Maingate line arrives-I would shoot for being at SDMT by 7:40 AM.

After riding SDMT,I would head straight to Peter Pan.

(This info is accurate unless there have been very recent changes.:))

Be at the gate no later than 7:30. You will be let in around 7:45 and can go straight to BOG. They will not hold you back because your ADR is at 8:15. At that time of the morning it's just about getting butts in seats. Pre order! Your meal shouldn't take longer than 35 minutes. BOG breakfast is fast.

Also, keep an eye on park hours the closer you get. They do change and you could end up with an 8 am opening during spring break.

Since you'll already be in fantasyland, hit up everything you want to do there first and move on. You'll have the jump on the rope droppers, and will be able to churn out a few rides before the crowds really hit.

And watch opening times. Disney is known to possibly change MK opening to 8am during busy times which means your ADR would not be pre-park opening anymore.

The plus side, of course, is that if there is EMM, they won't drop opening to earlier, but you won't be dong 7DMT, Pooh or Pan before rope drop. They will let you queue in advance, but you won't be hopping on more than once.

I could be wrong but I thought I read that EMM dates were showing for April already? If so, OP could check that against his date.

ETA: I just checked and there are dates scheduled into June, but only Tues the 25th for April...so who knows if that's a final schedule.

Note that if your BOG day is on the same day as an Early Morning Magic, you will NOT be allowed to ride until rope drop.
No multiple rides on SDMT,but still allowed to ride just ahead of the Maingate Line so still a huge benefit even on EMM.:)

Awesome! The other reports I've seen only got one ride on SDMT in before the Maingate Line arrived.:)
We were there in July so it may have changed or depends on the CM? I didn't go on with my family the second time but stood with the CM and watched the rope drop crowd enter the line. He was telling me how crazy it was going to be and to watch with him and it was surreal, lol. It was all very organized but still massive. I followed these threads while planning our trip and almost canceled our PPO when it became an EMM day but it all worked out well. We had FP+ for it later in the day and another time previously for our stay and also rode it during EMH so it wasn't a must do for us at the time. I no longer ride Space or BTMRR and hate Splash so this is my kind of Thrill Ride, lol.
