I am not going to go insane if I can't get in. But we would like to try it because we like to try all the new attractions that we haven't yet. I had a dinner for 4 slot at 8:55 pop up last night and by the time I tried to grab it, it was gone.

My main target though was lunch. How difficult is it to get in for lunch. We are staying offsite this time so I assume we can not get a FP for lunch. Is all lunch standby and how long is the wait and what are your chances of getting in for lunch?

No, they have FP lunch and there is a thread dedicated to it. The link is on the thread. Right now you can book about. 30 days out

The standby hasn't very long. My mom's friend was there a few weeks ago and was able to standby to get in. She said she didn't wait more that 15 minutes in line. If you're staying off site I don't think you can get a lunch FastPass, because you need a 12 digit Resort Reservation Id to make one, but here's the link anyway https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com. I don't know if the lunch fast passes are offered at the in park kiosks or not. Don't give up and Good LUCK :)

Correct. A person needs to have a resort reservation in order to book a BOG FP+, but without one getting in isn't difficult. I'd recommend getting in line around 10:15a so you're there when the restaurant opens at 11a. You will have a bit of a wait but seating is faster (in my experience) when it first opens.

The FP+ for BOG lunch is only for people staying onsite (you need to a resort reservation ID number to make the FP+) and OP mentions that he's staying offsite.

When we had lunch there we waited less than half an hour. We were quite a ways past the bridge, but the line moved quickly. This was around 11:30.

Just add for those interested, the BOF FP+ doesn't count as one of the three, so you can have 3 attraction FP+ AND the BOG FP+

I just added this to my trip. Thanks for the link!

I didn't get a reservation number and it doesn't show up in MDE. How is it saved to the system?

MDX is a different system, this is a test. You just have to trust that it worked.
