Be Our Guest-counter service?

I just made an ADR for August for BOG lunch. I was surprised to see that it showed a prix fixe menu for $62/person. Is BOG not considered counter service anymore? The last time we were there (a few years ago), we were able to make a reservation, but eat off of the counter service menu for lunch. Thanks!

It's been the prix fixe menu (and TS) for both lunch and dinner for a while now, sadly.

It changed when they reopened last year. Lunch and dinner are both a prix fixe TS meal, no breakfast.

I really hope they bring it back to how it used to be. It was our favorite place to eat lunch in the MK. I liked it because it was a great experience, nice place to cool off with the air conditioning, decent kid meals (more than just the mac and cheese and chicken nuggets) and we loved the cupcakes for dessert. Plus I was always amazed how they would find us at whatever table we picked to sit at with just us wearing our magic bands. Price fixe at those prices will not work for us, especially for lunch.

It is a shame that the CS lunch option was lost along the way. It was a lovely way to experience the restaurant, and enjoy a very nice lunch, as well. We had eaten breakfast there, years ago, and it was an abysmal experience. Our order took forever to arrive, and when I mentioned to our server that my egg sandwich was stone cold, I was told curtly that is was meant to be served that way! Definitely not the case.

A few years later, DD and I visited for lunch, as the menu was appealing and the price reasonable. We were more than pleased and had always hoped to return. Not for the current offering, though.

Agree. I'm sure they won't bring it back but it is a bummer. There is really no decent quick service at MK.

No chance it returns to CS.

Agreed, sadly. They were sick of people getting inexpensive snacks so they could hang out in the castle, and if they can get people to pay $62pp, they're certainly going to take that option. Means I'll never get to see the inside of the castle, since it was impossible to get reservations for the only trip we took after it opened but before it changed to pris fixe, but there are way too few things on the menu we can eat to make it worth it.

This.
As long as it remains popular and is crowded not likely it will revert back to CS for lunch.

Thank you for all of your replies. My family is so disappointed, but we will not be eating here this trip. I just cancelled our ADR. Paying over $300 for lunch for our family of 5 is way too much...even to eat in the Beast castle!
