Be Our Guest Breakfast Questions

We have a pre-park opening reservation (8:25) for Be Our Guest in November and I had a couple of questions. First, and most important, if you have a pre-opening BOG reservation can you still ride 7 Dwarfs before park opening? Second, what do folks think about the breakfast food at BOG? Some of the menu items look pretty decent.

As long as you are out of there by 8:50 or so, yes, you can ride 7DMT before the hordes get there.

As to the food for breakfast, you're going to hear everything from "WOW! LOVED IT!" to "NEVER again!" It's definitely over-priced for my family.

-you can ride but it's not a guarantee
-I've really only heard their breakfast is lacking and not worth it

It is better quality than at the resort food courts but there's not a whole lot of it. I like it on the Dining Plan but it's very over priced, IMHO.

I haven't been since the new opening began but in the past I've had an 8:15 AM ADR and was seated by 8:05.

We did this a couple months ago. The breakfast was actually pretty good but, yes, pricey....we were on the dining plan so, worked for us.
We had 8:15 ADR...after a few pictures in front of the castle, we were at BOG around 8:00. We had preordered so food came fast.....we finished and were in line for 7DMT about 8:30. About 10 people ahead of us.
They allowed us on the ride before the park opened and we rode 2x with no wait. We were headed to ride a 3rd time but, the crowd had arrived.
It was awesome!!
I've made preopening reservation 8:05 for my next trip in Nov. Hope it works out this perfectly again.

I did have 8:35 on our last trip and kept checking for earlier time. Was able to move it up to 8:15 a few weeks before. But, I think they let all reservation times in whenever you show up. but, I didn't want to take a chance.
Make sure to pre-order your food.....that saved a good bit of time.

Yeah, the price is silly, but we'll be on the DDP so that's not a concern since it will be one of our QS credits. Wonder how long before Disney changes this to a TS credit since the price is already $24 a person.

WE had a PPO and were in line for 7DMT at 8:30 for a 9:00 opening. Unfortunately the ride didn't open until right at 9. They did let the breakfast people get in line before the masses from rope drop. We were on the first train of the day and then popped over to Peter Pan with a 10 min wait.
As for the food, we ordered off the kids menu and it was not a lot of food for the $$.

When was this? Sounds like the option to ride before park opening is hit or miss.

1) Yes. Get to the park early to make sure you're towards the front of the line and pre-order your food. Even with my slow-eating children and a bathroom break, we were out of there by 8:35 and in line for 7D. We rode 7D before the park even opened.

2) The food is OK. The pastries are fresh and the food tastes good, but the portions are really small. It is definitely over-priced, but since you're using DDP I'd definitely keep the reservation.

Definitely worth it on the dining plan. Currently, you can only hope for 1 ride on 7DMT.

I agree it's overpriced but we didn't find the portions overly small. Maybe it was the breakfast choice we made, though, lol. We found after the pastries, the croissant doughnut was enough for sharing. There's a limit to the sugar and calories we can handle in the morning! The kids got their own entrees, which were smaller portions although my DD is not a big eater and didn't finish hers.

We'll be there a week from Monday (!!) and will find out how it works riding 7DMT right after breakfast at BOG! Can't wait!!

JMHO but for $22 you can get the buffet at The Wave, one of the best on property. If I were going OOP I'd have breakfast there and lunch at BOG. I only have breakfast on the DP and if I can get a pre park opening ADR. To be fair, the pastry tray isn't my sort of thing.

Considering it's been this price for a couple years, I doubt it's even in the plan for right now.

OP, if its an EMM day, you won't be allowed in a line until 9. the PPO gives you a head start on rope droppers, but on those EMMs you'll be watching the ride until opening.

We did the pre-park 8:00 ADR about 6 weeks ago. We were there and first in line. We were let into the park at 7:45 but the CM at the gate says that can vary by 5-10 minutes. We were checked in and the restaurant opened about 7:55. Food came quickly and was good- not great but good. We ate and were out the door by 8:30. Lined up for mine train. Sweet CM told us there was no guarantee but she would go ahead and line up if it was her. We were on the first ride at 8:45. When we got off we headed to PP and lined up there. We were let in about 8:55 and were off and in position to head to our next ride before the crowds were let in. We truly enjoyed that hour and to us it was worth the money though without the two pre-park rides it would not have been.

Yeah, hadn't thought of that. Date is Thursday November 2 and EMM is on Tuesday/Thursday in October so could happen. If that's the case I may just do EMM and cancel the BOG reservation.

I loved the food at BOG breakfast! I enjoyed the charcuterie plate which was a nice unique change from the standard egg breakfast or pancake breakfast.

If there is EMM definitely do that! That was worth every penny we paid for our family of 6.

I have a PPO BOG res the day I'm going and it's an EMM day. I'm not counting on getting to ride 7DMT early (plus I have a FP for it)... but I'm just hoping to be slightly ahead of the RD'ers! That's realistic to expect right? I'd like to get a quick ride on it right at park open and then head straight to PP b/c I don't want to FP that one. Will I beat RD'ers to PP?

We have a PPO BOG breakfast on our first full park day in November. DH and I will just share a meal as neither of us typically eats a big breakfast. Basically, I consider it paying for earlier access. I am hoping for a ride or 2 on 7dmt before the RP crowd, then going to PP with a short wait as we have never seen the interactive queue.
