My parents decided to join us for our trip but since they just now decided I'm scrambling to make reservations for a party of 6 at the places which are "must do." The current list we have (which is only the four of us without my parents) are
Magic Kingdom day 1
Crystal Palace at 8:25 am

Magic Kingdom day 2
Be our Guest breakfast at 9:20 am (w/my parents)
Be our Guest dinner at 7:10 pm.

Ideally we want our first day to be early, before the park opens to try to see the park without a bunch of people (maybe get a pic in front of the castle with only a few people in the backround) but I feel this is probably not going to happen since the rope drop show has been moved to inside the park.

So with that being said I can move our Be our Guest breakfast to Magic Kingdom day 1 for all 6 of us at 8:40 am and move crystal palce to magic kingdom day 2 for lunch. would this be a better plan? or don't do crystal palace at all?

You are correct that empty castle pictures are a thing of the past. Move your ADRs around so all of you can have memories together.

With the 8:40 a.m. BoG, you may be let into MK before 8:00 if you are there before 8:00. You might get a more relatively empty castle picture on that day if you can arrive before 8:00.

Thanks...I was able to get an 8:25 am at BOG so I moved Crystal Palace to 11:30 am lunch. If I can get BOG for dinner for all of us then I'll drop Crystal Palace and use the table serve credit before my parents arrive. Two table serve meals a day seems lke we'll be eating all day and not doing much else. (unless it was an early breakfast and a dinner...)

Technically, BOG breakfast is still counter service, not table service. So you could order a cupcake and coffee, or a single meal for two to share if you want to eat lighter.

Good. Less than three hours between finishing breakfast and startin lunch doesn't sound reasonable.
These are two different days. The day Crystal palace is on has BOG dinner for 4 people bbut not 6 like we want/need.

I didn't think of that. I knew it was quick serve but didn't think it was all a cart and we could do just a cupcake. I heard it was a good use of quick serve credits so I wanted to grab it.

On the flip side I made a reservation for the barber shop for my daughters first hair cut at 10 am the day we have BOG breakfast and as excited as I am about her cut being in Disney I'm wondering if I shot myself in the foot making it for 10 am....
