We were at Be Our Guest restaurant for dinner on the last night of our visit, 2/11/13, just my DH and me. That entire area around the new fantasyland was packed. People were attempting to make walk up ressies with no luck. I could hear them asking if there was anything for today, tomorrow, and even for the whole week and were being told no. I also heard the CM say no one had canceled "ever" to her knowledge LOL.

We waited on the bridge with our buzzers in front of the restaurant (outside) for about 15 minutes. If this were summer, it would have been very hot and uncomfortable. Hope they find some way to allow people inside to wait in the future. We were in Beast's study for dinner. there was a little lightening storm every little while in that room and the portrait transformed from the prince to the beast and back to the prince again (very quickly, don't blink!), and Beast made a super fast appearance a few times as well. Don't worry if you don't get a picture at dinner, you will probably have a photo op on your way out, at least we did at dinner when we were there. The castle guards are great, they "talk" etc and are very entertaining. The large room (ballroom) is huge! The ceiling in the ballroom has angel cherubs that were inspired by the Imagineer's children. The snow was cool in the ballroom too.

As for the "grey stuff" from the song in the movie, it was mousse stuff that tasted ok too, more just a cute photo op than anything. I asked for it specifically, otherwise the server would not have mentioned it. I saw they had this awesome light up souvenier cup, but i think it was $20. I kind of wish I had it now though, lol. I think it was more (technically) a kids cup. I came close to getting it, but my DH would have probably thought I was nuts.

Not many choices for dinner, and dinner was just ok. I was glad we checked it out, we will go again someday!

Great pics!!:thumbsup2

Just curious to know, was the West Wing (as you called it the Beast's study;)) very dark?? When we were there during lunch it was so dark you could barely navigate around the room.

When we took photos many didn't come out other than those with the flash that pretty much lit up the closer objects. Many of the photos I'm seeing online of the room look much brighter than when we were in there. I couldn't imagine being able to see a menu at dinner time in there without a flashlight LOL!:lmao: ...so I am wondering if it is brighter at dinner?

Glad you had a nice experience. It's a magical restaurant to visit!:thumbsup2

On our way out, I stopped in the ballroom to take a few photos

It's pretty in the pics, but the photos don't do the splendor in this place justice. It is a beautiful restaurant

you can sort of see the snow, but it's awesome to be there and see it

When we came in to see Beast for the photo op, he was sitting and started to stand up. We told him he didn't have to stand up for us, and to have a seat and relax. He was very grateful. ;)

nope, it was pretty dark in there! I had to use the setting on my camera for night photos (SCN selection on my point & shoot camera). Several photos didn't come out very well. Thanks for the reminder that the room is called the West Wing! :)

can we insert videos here? hmmm...

I'm going to give it a test here..I'm thinking no, but we'll see...someone let me know if this works!

Thank you for that report. I have our ADR for September, and just warned my DH that I will probably cry when I do go inside that Ballroom/Dining Room.

I love this movie so much, the corner of my family room has a curio full of Beauty and the Beast items, so I can hardly wait! :cloud9:

I have warned my DH that it's probably going to add to the list of things at Disney that make me cry.
Good report and lovely photos look forward to seeing for myself in October

GREAT review and photos!! I am so darn excited to go on our trip in June!! I can hardly wait!!!!!

Great review and loved the photos! We were at first not going to try this restaurant but now we are going to be doing the lunch one. We don't want to get a big lunch the first day we're there but figured my daughter is more likely to eat here at BOG rather than Casey's!

Awesome review :thanks: I will be there two weeks from Saturday on the 20th and I cannot wait :dance3:

Were you able to get the grey stuff just by asking? I'd love to get DD some when we go, and the closest celebration I can come up with is "She's in 2nd grade, but she gets 6th grade spelling words and she's only missed one all year long!" :scratchin

Thank you for the review and pictures! I am obsessed with B&B. We plan to go in October for our anniversary (just booked) and hope to get a ressie. I am planning on calling on the very first day that we can. This entire 3 day trip revolves around this restaurant. If for some reason I can't get a ressie, I will cancel the trip and book again later. Can you tell how much I want to go there?
