Be our guest and allergies

Hi all!

My mom and I have breakfast reservations at BOG next month. I saw all of the entrees come with mixed fruit and upon googling, see a lot of melon in it.

My mom has a melon allergy and tries to avoid it to prevent anything. Is there anything they might be able to do to help her have something besides that?

Absolutely. Let them know when you check in. Disney does an excellent job of accommodating allergies.

Definitely. Just tell them when you are checking in and/or ordering. If you preorder just mention it when you go up to pay.

My daughter has food allergies and we had a positive experience at Be Our Guest after the food was served. We did have to wait FOREVER just for someone to tell us whether or not the spaghetti sauce had dairy in it and to let them know that we wanted the sauce (that did not have dairy) but we did not want the cheese. Apparently that's not a simple order you can pre-order. If you're ordering straight from the allergy suggestions it's easy, but with melon it might take a little more time, just as our meal took a little longer. But once we were able to speak with someone, they were able to accommodate us and I felt confident in allowing my daughter to eat it.

Thanks everyone. We did an online order since there is nothing for a melon allergy. It's one of those things that she gets side effects from eating melon because shes allergic to specific pollen is how I understand it. It's not pleasant, but not life threatening. Hopefully they have some non-melon fruit. I figure they might have able slices or something.
