....for wanting to go back to WDW this Fall? Dh and I have a 2.5yo who loves Disney as much as we do (obviously)!! :rotfl:

Before he was born, we often travelled and had some great adventures, but never went to WDW. Since he has been born, we have been to WDW approx. every 6 mo!!!!

We are planning a trip for the Fall and are receiving such negative feed back from friends and family. Are we crazy for going again? Is it possible to go too many times? Should we expand our horizons?:confused3 I'm suddenly so confused!

Are you having fun? do you enjoy the time you have as a family at WDW? Can you afford to vacation this often?
If your answers are YES then who gives a flying fig how you spend your time together as a family.:goodvibes
I honestly do not even tell people where we are going anymore because of the comments.
I love WDW and so does my family..(well DH not as much) but he loves to see the DD's have fun.
Go and have fun and enjoy your time together as a family!!:thumbsup2

you should not worry about what others think. do what you want to do. remember the words of wisdom , To thine ownself be true.

you do need to consider that the world is full of many places / many people and it's good to experience it. i would travel for leisure as much as you can and enjoy your time and life as a family.

I think you do it! I think that for the true Disney lovers there is never such thing as too much Disney!!! The non-Disney lovers just don't understand that! LOL:confused3 Enjoy the trip!!!!

I don't think you are crazy at all. In fact, it makes me feel better because we have a little one about the same age as yours and have done the exact same thing ...Our first trip was a "baby moon" present from my parents followed by an "anniversary present", followed by a "spring break" trip...there's always something to celebrate and Disney is just so fun for the whole family. We are actually meeting family there for Christmas this year. Don't listen to people who make negative comments. As long as your family is having fun and happy then that is what matters. Also, regarding the expense (some people have made comments to us like, "what a waste of money") this really is an investment in your families happiness and I know people who waste thousands of dollars on a purse or going out to dinner every night. I would rather save and spend quality family time together at Disney where everyone has a blast!!! Hoping this makes you feel better :thumbsup2

I can never get too much of WDW. For a family, I cannot think of a better place to vacation. There is so much to offer. We go every year since 2003 and get negative feedback as well. If you price out a family vacation which includes everything a WDW package can offer, the cost is significantly less than most other places I can think of. Enjoy yourselves.

DH and I never went to WDW as children. Our DDs (ages 5 and 3) have been 2 times already and we're going again next month. We like to travel and enjoy going places as a family. For the trip next month we considered going somewhere else... But then we kept coming back to WDW. It's just SO easy (especially with little ones) and it's a guaranteed good time for all. We love it. We just don't share with everyone HOW MUCH we love it so they don't think we're too crazy.

If your crazy, were insane. :lmao: We are leaving for WDW on August 23rd......we returned from our last trip on June 25th. :goodvibes Just couldn't pass up the deal with free dining, and POP prices!

Seriously though, we have done this twice now, two trips in one year that is. I say, you only live once, if you can afford it, do it!

We keep telling ourselves the 2nd trip this year is a combination gift; 1. It's our 20th wedding anniversary. 2. It's really close to our sons first birthday. 3. Our daughter just turned seven!

See, I can justify multiple Disney trips with ease! :rotfl:

I don't think it's 'too many times' if you're still all enjoying it. But I know if it were me and I could vacation twice a year I'd surely take our kids to places other than Disney. There is a whole big world to see. I think it would be a crying shame if I raised my kids to 18 and they went on vacation twice a year but never went anywhere except our home state and to Orlando, FL. So *I* would start cutting back to Disney to no more than once a year, assuming I could afford 2 vacations, and start doing someplace else for the 2nd vacation.

My children are 5 and 2 and we have gone about as often as you. If you are having a good time and can afford the trips than I say go and have a wonderful time.

Others will always have opinions about what you like or how you spend your money. If Disney is your thing, than its your thing. Live it up!

We went in Feb and my family thinks we are crazy because we are going again in Nov. But, our son begged daddy till he said yes, and we are going on the military rate, so couldnt pass it up since we could afford it. They keep telling us we are "wasting money because our kids are too young". I looked at them and told them what they were wasting money on, and they werent too happy. Their reasoning that we are wasting money is that the kids wont remember. Um my 3yr old talks about who he saw and what he did at Disney in Feb almost everyday. That boy doesnt forget. Besides I dont remember my last trip w/ my parents to Disney that well and I was in High School. If we ever move down to FL w/ the military we will probably end up w/ annual passes.

So if you went to the beach every six months, or your vacation cottage every weekend, would people still think you're crazy?

Chalk it up to the fact that some folks are sticks-in-the-mud who don't know how to have a good time.

Well then we are in the crazy club too!:cool1:

We went Nov 08, March 09, we are thinking of going in a few weeks, so Aug 09 and we have a trip booked for Nov 09!!!!

We've asked our kids if they want to try something different and my kids all LOVE being in Disney. My 7 year old told me yesterday it is her 'most favorite place on Earth' A girl after my own hear I tell ya!

ENJOY your trips and don't worry about what others say! If you and your family are enjoying the time you spend in Disney...that is ALL that matters!

If that's what you want to do with your vacation time and you have the cash to do it (ie not using credit) I say go for it. :thumbsup2

We live too far away to consider going quite that often. Airfare is a killer. And I'm not sure I'd want to go every 6 months. I like to switch it up a bit. But if you're having fun good for you. Who cares what other people think.

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!! :grouphug:

This is why I love Disney! It just makes people happy and happy people are so much nicer than the rest!

He is only 2.5....he has been to WDW, VA Beach, camping in the Adirondacks(sp?), Manhattan at Christmas.......We would love to take him to see all of the *real* world (DH and I have been all over the globe), but think that overseas travel would be better when he is old enough to appreciate it. I think we could squeeze in trips to the Carribbean over the cold winter months now, but......we ALL have so much fun at the mouses house! Maybe we will forego a winter trip to WDW for an island adventure??

And for people who doubt that a 2.5 year old really gets Disney......our last trip down was beginning of February 2009 and he still talks about "Mickeys House" (the castle), Ec-pot (heehee), Buzz, fu*% (thats his word for fireworks), pins, goofy, minnie, "breskast wis pooh & tigger," Mickeys bus & choochoo, boat rides, "roya coasa" (roller coaster)...etc......how could a mommy say no? pixiedust:

I love you guys!!! Thanks fo rthe support! LOL! :cheer2:

Our boys are 5 & 3 and they have been to WDW 6 times and 5 times respectively. We are headed back in November and plan to get passes and go a few times next year. While some people don't get it, that's OK with me. My husband and I love the relaxing, fun atmosphere and the boys have a ball. So, its a win-win vacation for us.

I did have to laugh at one trip last year. They had been so often, the boys were a little jaded. I have pics of them sitting in their stroller in front of the castle watching a show on their (our) iPods.

Because of the boys ages, each trip has been a completely different experience. This time around both boys will be tall enough to ride new rides. We do different things each time we are there, making sure to hit the favorites too. Go and have fun!!
