I checked out disneystore.com today to see if they had any bargains.. What I did find was items that were on sale before Christmas are still 'on sale' but at higher prices than 2 days before. I have NEVER seen prices go up on Christmas Items after the holidays. A couple items I bought before the holidays are now priced HIGHER than what I paid for them weeks ago.

It looks like Disney is once again taking advantage of a situation-knowing people will go to their site looking for after Xmas bargains, they have raised the prices for a bigger profit. That's why they can get triple the price for a loaf of bread or gallon of milk at WDW. Smart business. I don't know if I am disgusted or proud of them. I'm just glad I bought the stuff I wanted before today, at the lower sale price. I wonder if others even know they are not getting the lowest sale price. Is this so wrong on their part? I hate their business methods and policies, like making you walk out through a souvie shop after every WDW ride, but I still can't wait to give them all my hard earned $ at lease once a year. Makes me feel a little better about bringing my own cheese & crackers into the parks!

I noticed the same thing -- but at the Disney store. All of the character wigs were on sale after Halloweed for $4.99. Today they were marked 50% off of $19.50 -- no deal at all.

Thanks for this info!

I noticed that a few days ago. I had my eye on a disney flag that was down to 4.99, now its up to 11.99. Also the Advent calander was down to 9.99, now I think its 29.99.

I have been holding off for one of the tree skirts to go down further but it hasnt yet.

I think I figured out why this happened. We got the 'SALE' Catalog for the Disney Store in the mail yesterday... These catalogs were probably printed weeks ago.. Since the print order went in, Disney probably dropped prices online before Christmas in an effort to sell as much as possible. Since they knew the catalogs were to be delivered the day after Christmas, they had to have the prices online match the catalog... It's a stretch I suppose.. Anyway, I suspect the prices will be back down in a week or so. I do feel sorry for the people expecting bargains yesterday who spent more than I did BEFORE Christmas for the same items.
