Just a warning esp to those with kids...we had a room at allstar movies and I managed to gash the front of my leg over my shin as I walked past our bed. I bumped it against the metal bed frame that was jutting out about 3 inches. I called the front desk to let them know that I now had a 2 inch bleeding gash on my leg and they had someone come to the room from engineering to check the bed - they put a piece of plastic over the end of the bed but that too had a piece that stuck out that was sharp so we just put a big bag over the ends/corners of the bed to remind ourselves to give the bed a big margin as we walked past it. Please make sure you check the edges of your beds when you check in and get them fixed if need be!

the same thing happenned to me at Pop last year, I have the scar on my shin to prove it. I called the front desk and they told the frames were just made that way....

Ouch!

I work at a hotel, and that piece sticks out when the mattress shifts too far one way or another, which happens pretty often given how many different people sleep there. I'm not sure if Disney's beds are different, but when ours stick out, you just shift the mattress back over, which covers it.

Hope your leg feels better!

I had the same thing happen in ASSp last year. I am disabled and in the accessable room, with a huge gash and blood running. This thread just reminded me to check the beds to make sure the mattress is covering the frame or have them fix it.

Thanks for the reminder,
DiMarie

I had the same experience last Christmas at CBR! I thought I was the only one - although it wasn't the metal bed frame, but the wood post foot board. I must have banged my shins daily every time I would walk by the bed. Ouch!

thanks for the warning. we'll be there 12/8 for 1 night and will definetly be on the lookout for that since we'll have two 3 year olds with us.
