I'm a little confused this is my first time getting the Dining Plan, and I thought I had it all figured out, but maybe not. I noticed on allears.net that the Basic Plan was 39.99 and the Deluxe is 71.99 a day and includes Character and Signature Dining. So if I have the Basic Dining Plan does that mean we can not dine at Character or Signature Dining locations, and if we are allowed to, does that mean we can only spend up to 39.99 a day and we lose out on our snacks and QSM for the day?:confused3 I didn't really want to get the Deluxe its a little too much for our family. I'm sorry I'm just really confused now and I thought I had it. Please help explain this to me guys.:teacher:

You can do character dining. If you want to do signature dining though it will take 2 dining credits. Also you do not limit yourself to the $39.99 per day.

We are doing regular dining plan and paying OOP for counter service breakfast. It is cheaper that way unless you want to do all sit down meals. Takes up too much time for the DDP.
We enjoy the breaks from the parks. I'll be making my ADR's next week and we are looking at CRT, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, T-Rex (already booked), Whispering Canyon Cafe, garden Grill and 50's Prime Time.

The basic dining plan gets you one restaurant meal per person per night you are there. These meals are measured in credits. Cost of the bill at the end of the night has nothing to do with the number of credits. Most restaurants and character meals (except for Cinderella's Royal Table) are 1 credit per person. Signature meals and CRT use two credits for one dinner there.

HTH!

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking, but when I read that on allears I got confused. OK it all makes sense now. Thanks again!!!

The basic dining plan gives you one table service meal credit, one quick service meal credit, and one snack credit per person, per night. Table service meals on the basic plan include and entree, drink, and dessert but no appetizer.

The deluxe dining plan gives you three meal credits per person, per night which can be used for either table or quick service, plus two snacks per person, per night and one refillable mug per person. Table service meals on the deluxe plan include an appetizer, entree, drink, and dessert.

Character dining is one table service credit with the exception of the Castle. Signature dining, including the Castle, takes two table service credits per person. There is no dollar limit for the plan; any way you choose to use the alloted credits is fine, and many people find they save a fair amount of money using the plan.
