Bday Cake info

So I have loooked at all the 1000 post about cakes. My son is turning 5 on our visit. We are staying at the Value resort - Movies. We have a reservation at Cafe Mickey for breakfast. I would love to get him a cake.

SO.....should I get one a a bakery and take it back to the room, or just get one for the character breakfast made at chef mickeys?
