My son will be turning 10 the next Saturday after our trip, so we wanted to have a bday cake for him at Goofy's Kitchen. Is there a number I can call similar to WDW? Anyone have experience with ordering a particular cake?
Also, where do we pick up the bday or 1st visit buttons at the 2 parks? We'd like to get them during our trip.
Thanks!

I ordered ours through Disney Dining with our PS ressies. We got the 6" cake ($18) which is 3 layers. You can add sugar characters for more $$. You can also get buttons there or at the ticket booths, city hall, and many of the larger stores (Emporium, etc.). The cake was yummy, and more than enough to feed us (2 adults, 4 kids) especially since they hit the dessert bar first! We ate maybe a third of the cake.

We ordered the "birthday treasure chest" ...which contained a small cake, a cheesy compass thing and a pirate flag. DS took 1 bite and said "yuck!"...i have to say, Disney seems to use A LOT of sugar when baking and we trend towards the less that teeth-achingly sweet treats.

Anyway, it was overpriced for what it was, but that's disney, eh? [but somehow I keep coming back!]

I don't know about the cake, but I saw a little boy getting a birthday button at midnight as it became his birthday. This was at City Hall.

Try this link: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/moreMagic/specialOccasions/detail?name=BirthdaysDetailPage

In addition to City Hall, you can pick up buttons at Guest Relations and I have heard lots of the stores have them too.

I don't think they even sell those anymore...those are yuck. Ours was an actual cake and they wrote "Happy 1st Birthday Nolan" on it.
