Anyone heading to BCV the end of Aug? If so...have you ever been there before? how is it compared to other resorts..and how long a walk to the boardwalk?

The walk is maybe 5 minutes if that from BCV to BWV.

BCV is a DVC resort so it is very similar in the room layout to VWL and BWV. However, it is smaller than BWV and not as noisy (or in the swing of things as some people claim). There is no Community Hall at BCV.

Rooms at SSR are also very similar, but SSR is more like OKW than BWV, BCV and VWL, as it has a community feel to it rather than a hotel feel.

I adore BCV...anytime of the year. I think that the end of August is a lil less crowded....however don't get me wrong, there is still lines and such. I will be there at the end of August also...Even though I will be spliting my stay between Dolphin and BWV, I plan to walk over to BCV and enjoy the kitchen sink one night for a yummy treat to say the least. I hope you enjoy this time of the year as much as I do.

giong at the end of Aug and I love it there. I've always loved the BC and as soon as DVC got there our family bought in right away! SAB is amazing the walk to the boardwalk is about 5-10 min depending on how fast you walk.

You will love it!!! Are the BCV rooms smaller than BWV? I have stayed at both and thought they were about the same. They are certainly a similar set up.

As someone else said you will love SAB-it's a favorite pool (and so much more) for my my family. You can stroll over to the Boardwalk and or over to EPCOT. The walk to MGM is a little longer but you can also take a boat there.

The indoor common areas of BCV are also very nice. And I hear the new gelato bar is good too! Have fun!

No, the rooms are nearly identical except for a few minor changes. The resort is smaller, though, than BWV resort. Fewer rooms, shorter hallways, etc.

I liked the lemon gelato. My son loved the vanilla.
