I have just returned from an eight night stay at BCV and I have to say I was VERY impressed, the weather was rather wet, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. The childrens program was outstanding. I have to say thumbs up BCV I don't think I ever want to stay anywhere else.

glad you had a great time. We'll be at BCV in 88 days(but who is counting):)

Do I hear an add on in the near future? :D

Can you explain what the children's program is? Our DGC will be with us in November. (That's 2 months and 3 weeks, yes, we're counting!)

Glad you enjoyed BCV. We love it too and will be there in October...can not wait!

Did you see any evidence of refurbishment? A poster on the Y&BC thread reported that BCV was scheduled for one.:confused3

I agree that BCV really does an excellent job catering to the kids. When we stayed there a few weeks ago, I was really impressed with how many activities they have scheduled every day. My daughters are too old for the activities but I can see anyone with youngsters really being able to enjoy the various games and activities...mostly around SAB.

I can't remember all the activities but I think there was bingo, ping pong tourneys, s'more making, hula hoop contest, dancing at life guard shift change, etc. Some of the activities (like the s'more making) cost some fee but most were free

I don't think I've seen anything close to it at any other DVC resort. Of course, many of the other resorts have a Community Hall but the planned activities at BC/YC/BCV were really top notch. :thumbsup2

Yes my room looked brand new.

Also Granny answered the question about the kids activities also if it rained they had plenty to do in the solarium at night time. Also they have a kids club called The Sand Castle Club which is a babysitting room that they also do a lot of things with the kids , but a fee does apply.
