Hello,

I'm planning a mother/daugher trip in June 2018 and I was thinking about renting points to do a split stay between BWV and AKV. But now I'm considering maybe doing a split stay between BCV and AKV. I rented points to stay at BWV in June 2013 and loved the location. Location is the main reason why I was looking at BWV again. DD wants to stay at AKV so that's why I have decided on a split stay. But now I'm not sure if I want to do BVW or BCV.

If we stay at BW, I will try to get a standard view studio because it is cheaper. Is BC worth the extra money? BC supposedly has the best pool on property, but how crowded does it get? The pool does look neat and I think we'd like the lazy river part, but if it's really crowded, we wouldn't enjoy it and would probably go to the quiet pool. The clown slide at BWV doesn't bother us.

Do all the villas have balconies at BC? I thought I read that there are some rooms without one.

I'm curious to know which resort others would choose and why.

All of the pools on property are crowded in June. Stormalong Bay is pretty big, so the crowd can spread out somewhat.

Standard at BW is hard to get, so I would budget for Pool/Garden. BCV has no bookable views for a reason. Rule of thumb is that if a view could be worth more $, it will be charged like it.

BCV rooms have patios or balconies, it is BC that has sort of standing balconies.

Be aware that the lazy river is about 8 Feet deep and has a strong current.

I would give BC a try. The pool really is enjoyable. That's one thing that's very nice about WDW, all the choices of accommodations.

We've had a couple of room at BCV that the balcony isn't much more than a standing balcony. Solid walls and just enough room for the chairs too fit. Fairly unappealing actually.

But the standing ones at BC don't fit anything as I know it.

Where were your bad balconies?

I've had one of those BC rooms too and there's no room for chairs. :sad2: There were a couple issues with the room though so it was only one night and the next room had a good balcony so I was lucky that time.

The BCV with the smaller balcony was a woods view - 5th floor I believe. It was our first stay there a very, very long time ago. :) On what might have been our next trip we did a few days at VB - and got one of the tiny balconies with the solid wall there too! If they have them apparently I can find them. lol

OP here and still trying to decide between BCV and BWV. It will be about $250 more to stay at BC and I'm trying to decide whether or not the extra money is worth it. That's money that we could spend on something else, but at the same time I want to stay at BC because I never have. It also looks like it has a few more food options that my daughter would eat and I think she would enjoy the pool.
Opinions, please, is BC worth the extra $250?

If you feel like the pool is worth the extra $250, you could go for it. Otherwise, keep in mind that you can walk over the BCV from BWV an use the food options there, or anywhere in the Boardwalk area for that matter (don't forget about swan and dolphin!).

I, personally, like the theming and atmosphere at BWV better than BCV. There just seems to be more energy at BWV.

Either way, have a great trip!!!

Its only $250 less if you manage to get a standard view at BWV. Those can be difficult to get and you shouldn't assume that one will be available - you'll need a BWV owner to book it. There are far more people looking to rent BWV/BCV points than BWV/BCV owners who want to rent them out. It will also be difficult to rent points and do a split stay - you'll need to arrange for two rentals from two owners. I'd really consider just doing the VAKL stay.

Good points - since OP is traveling in June they may already be out of luck for a BWV standard studio as the window for then has already opened up. That will make the decision a mute point as BCV and Pool/Garden view or Boardwalk view at BWV is almost identical in point requirements.

You should not make your decision based on BWV being $250 cheaper than BCV. You may not be able to book a standard view studion at BWV. Eliminate the std. view studio from consideration and you're looking at the same dollar amount for both. Choose your resort based on what you want from this vacation.

Yes, as a PP said, there seems to be much more "energy" at BWV. That's why we much prefer BCV. At the end of the day, it's much more relaxing. And you can get CS at BC Marketplace without having to go outside and get wet, if it's raining. At BWV, for CS, you have to go outside onto the Boardwalk. For relaxation, especially, we love BCV.

I'm just not a fan of the BC pool. Sorry fans! I just love the nightlife at BWV. I think your daughter would thoroughly enjoy the jugglers, magicians, and piano players ... along with the boardwalk arcades. (Which of course, you can see even if you do stay at BCV.) BWV pool clown is freaky, but it's a nice big pool with a great slide. Again though, as others said, if you get that standard room and save the $250, then go for it. Also as others stated, you can go to any restaurant all with walking distance for 4 resorts!

I have already found 2 people I'm interested in renting from, I'm doing my research on both to make sure everything goes well if I rent from one of them. One owns at BW and the other at BC and BW. There was availability at BC and BW standard studios for my dates when they checked yesterday.

Well then, best of luck. Availability is fluid, so don't wait too long to make a decision.

BWV owner here booking my own trip at the end of June right before the 4th of July( will be at AKV that week) and a few dates are already booked up for standard so you'll need to book ASAP.

Availability is fluid on both ends - when you rent points privately you often have several offers on your points - if you dither on pulling the trigger, they might move on. You have two people you are interested in renting points from - they may have ten people interested in those points.

I decided on BWV, I'd rather spend the money on other things at Disney. I e-mailed the owner so waiting to hear back.
