BCV studios now sleep 5

Does anyone think that this will decrease the desire for 1 BRs? No matter that the studios, at <400 sq ft have a greater capacity than the 1 BRs (at approx 730 sq ft).

Those of us who love the 1 bedrooms can hope, LOL. IMO, it will increase the demand for studios and some of that excess will book the 1 bedrooms. Unless they reallocate points to make studios cost more and 1 bedrooms less, I doubt we'll see a noticeable impact.

I don't think adding the Murphy bed in the studios changed demand much for the BWV. But who really knows? The general trend of more booking at 11 months may have masked any direct contribution from the capacity increase.

I just input our dates, and it still says a bcv studio sleeps four. We were there in September, and I know there is room for five. I am nervous one of us will be denied access to Stormalong Bay.

I don't know what dates you're checking, but the main page of both the DVC site and the main site show 5 now. If you're still seeing 4 for your dates call MS and add the fifth person.

It appears that DVC did not have the programmers change the online booking tool for the number of guests allowed in a studio at either BCV nor BWVs. They did change the area were the rooms are listed under destinations, showing that a studio at those two resorts sleep five.

I would contact MS and tell them about this discrepancy and confirm you can add 5 to the reservation.
