I know the room views are not that great at BCV, but I understand there are some with a view of the quiet pool, and then some with a view of the canal or is it cresent lake?

The cm I spoke to said the lake, but I tend to think it was the canal that leads to epcot?:confused3

Location to the main BC is important since we have 2 little ones with us, but I would love info on pretty views if any and how close the are to SAB/ BC.

TIA!!!

The views at BCV are the one thing that are not impressive. It is tucked in back of the Beach Club, near the parking lot. I know you cannot see the lake, but I believe there are some canal view rooms..

We requested pool view, which we received. The only negative was that it was quite noisy even around midnight, and we were not on the ground floor. We were fine as our kids are grown up, but if you have little ones trying to sleep it may possibly be an issue.

It is a bit of a walk to SAB, but it is very much worth it. There are food options over there such as Beaches n Cream which is fabulous.

I believe that both sides of the Beach Club Villas building has a view of a canal. The side with the quiet pool may be able to see the canal that runs in front of the quiet pool, under the main drive into the resort lobby and over to the Yacht Club.

The "back side" of the resort may see that canal that runs over to Epcot. It may be a very filtered view.

I don't think you could see much of the canal from Boardwalk to Epcot, there are trees in the way. I stayed there once on the top floor facing that way, I'll post a picture when I get home.

A canal view will most likely also be the pool view. The side the building that faces Epcot may have a little canal view, but not much.

No, BCV is not known for the views.

Just came back and I think with all the tree growth, there will be little if any water view, like we wanted. In the last post, there were pictures. I forget our room number, but or room (2BR) views were like in that first picture, top floor, looking towards the Epcot/canal - but more "left/Epcot" looking. Didn't see water even from the top floor. Did see a good amount of fireworks however, as you can certainly see into the Epcot rooflines.

By the way, the pictures I posted were from February 2006, so it's possible there has been tree growth. I only stayed there 1 night as an add-on to an Orlando business trip.

Not too different, just a little more filled in on the lower growth - from next door 527/529 this past Dec.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the pix. Keep em coming, this way I won't be disapointed!

Can't wait!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Here's the view from room 566, which is the last room on the 5th floor. (The 5th floor isn't as large as the 4th and below.) 566 is a dedicated studio.

You can actually lean out and look around the building to see a glimpse of Spaceship Earth and The Land. However, you can't see the fireworks. Because it's on the end, it also has a unique balcony, which is much larger than most.

Here's the view:

Because of the location of the room, it also has a unique entry hall. There's a lot of room in the hall that leads from the front door to the room. We kept two large suitcases (on luggage stands) and our owner's locker there. (We were only staying 2 nights, so didn't fully unpack.) There's also a second closet in this room.

Now before you all go change your reservations to request this room, let me give you the down side. The room shares a wall with the pool elevator. Whenever someone rides up or down in this elevator, you can hear the motor running and the counter-weight rumble past the wall.

I sleep with a CPAP machine, which makes a lot of noise. So this didn't bother us while we were sleeping. Also, this elevator doesn't get a lot of use in the late hours. However, when we were sitting in the room, it was certainly noticeable. We'd joke "Going Up" every time it would run.

We decided we loved the view enough, and were staying for a very short stay, so didn't make a request to move. Others may find the elevator more annoying than we did, though.
