BCV studio request

So, we had BWV reserved for a garden view studio in May. On a whim I put in a waitlist for BCV because of the pool. It came through today for an entire week! We are so excited because my one year old will enjoy the sandy zero entry area and my mom has a thing for lazy rivers ‍♀️.
Now I need ideas for room requests. I had my request for BWV down. We have never stayed at BCV. We stayed in the hotel portion once a few years ago. It will be me, my mom, my friend, and my one year old. Convenience is the most important thing to us. We want to be close to pool/transportation. I didn’t know if there were any special requests to make. Thanks!

None of BCV is near the main pool. If you request "near pool" at BCV it puts you near a quiet pool.

I do remember seeing the quiet pool when we stayed there. So I just need to ask for near transportation?
You are not really near the bus stop either. Just go for higher or lower floor, near elevator, etc.

Also, the lazy river at Stormalong Bay isn't much of a lazy river. It's pretty deep (like eight feet deep) with a rather swift current. And the loop is short.

... all that being said, Beach Club Villas are AMAZING. We stayed last year and had no complaints about location. We were just so happy to be there :) Enjoy!!!

As mentioned BCV isn't really near either the main pool nor transportation but there are rooms that are closer than others. If convenience is important I'd put down for near transportation. Rooms in the wing closest to the bus stop are also closest to the main entry into the hotel lobby which you need to walk thru to get to SAB.

Perfect! This is what I wanted to know. With a little one convenience is the most important thing. Being close to the lobby and stuff will be nice. Thanks!

We have stayed in the hotel before and my mom enjoyed the lazy river, lol! She is so excited, haha! I just think the sandy area will be fun for my daughter.

There's no real way to stay at BCV and be near the main pool and transportation. That said, transportation is not incredibly far from BCV and you're only taking a bus to AK and MK (and Disney Springs if you're visiting there). It's also not super far from the main pool (you're not walking a mile to get to the lobby/ pool/ bus). There is a leisure pool at BCV, and my kids loved it there so if you're not wanting to head to Storm Along Bay (although we really love it and find it well worth walking over for), there is that option as well.

None of the rooms are going to get you close to the lobby, but the wing closest to the bus stop is closeER to the lobby than the others.

An additional note though - there are 2 elevator locations at BCV - one is just off the BCV lobby and the other is part way down the long wing towards the parking lot. So if you got a room in the wing closest to transportation you'd want a ground floor to use an exit otherwise you'll be walking back to the elevator if you weren't able to carry stuff down a stairwell. So, near lobby elevator might be the other consideration.

This map may help, all of BCV surrounds that leisure pool. The wing circled is slightly closer to the lobby/ bus/ SAB pool but if you need an elevator, they’re roughly where the AED (defibrillaters) are marked (where the building “bends”). X marks the lobby. Thanks so much everyone. I’m not super concerned, I just hadn’t really looked at BCV very much at all. I honestly just figured I would never luck up and get a studio there without owning! The one time we stayed on the hotel side prior to DVC we absolutely loved everything about the resort. I am so excited! I will just put in a request for the wing closest to the main hotel and see what happens. A few saved steps with a little one can be valuable.

The other thing I learned is that you might ask for a big balcony. Over the years I've probably been in 15 different BCV studios, and it's amazing how differently sized the balconies are. With some, you're lucky to get one person on it, two's a tight squeeze. But some are so big you could hold a party for yourself and about 25 of your closest friends. I remember one year when DH came and we stayed in a 1 BR. There were two balconies, one off the LR, one off the MB, with a wall between them, so you couldn't even talk with each other. And each balcony only held one person. But then I transferred to a studio when he had to go home, and the 1 balcony in my studio was much larger than the 2 balconies off the 1 BR if you combined them. Those balconies can vary!
