BCV Rooms

So we just got notified that our resale passed ROFR today . I noticed on the point charts that BCV only has one room category, does this mean that all rooms have the same view and if so is it of the water/boardwalk resort or is it more of a standard view? TIA!!

There are no different view categories as far as point values. You can request a view for specific rooms. Check out this site: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
There are maps of BCV, if you click on a room # you can see the view from the balcony.

Nobody buys at BCV for the views. Here you have the choice of a few mediocre views (all at same points value) but you get a great pool at a great location.

By the way, none of the Villas have a Boardwalk / water view (unless you count the BCV pool or the canal). The Villas building is behind the regular BC resort -- so Boardwalk views - you only get those in the main part of the resort.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, SSR is our home resort but we were looking at staying at BCV since we have some '08 points that have to get used by Aug 31. We have two young kids and thought they would love playing in the sand. Also, watching a movie together at the beach sounds awesome, has anyone done that? I would love to hear about it.

The view question was just because I was looking at the points chart and wondered if all the rooms were the same, since BWV had different categories. Thanks for the info!

The movies are fun! They do a campfire and sing-a-long with s'mores as well. I suggest getting takeout ice cream/sundaes from Beach & Cream too. In the event of rain, they will have the movies in the solarium. There are free DVD rentals at the BC Marketplace for DVC members too.
