BCV rooms

Yes, rather completely within the last 15 months or so. New carpeting, paint, drapes, flat screen TVs, iHomes. Most of the furniture remains the same but new patterns on the couches and a new banquette seat and pattern.

Thanks for the info.! Were the "soft" goods replaced? (Bedspreads, etc.) Do you know if there are pics anywhere?

Well, some people have called this a "soft goods refurbishment" but since whole wings were closed off, it seemed far more than that to me.

At any rate, things like towels and bedspreads are replaced as needed I think. We were staying at BCV 2 or 3 years ago when the towels were all changed to the thicker style now used in all the deluxe and deluxe villa resorts. Our bedspreads certainly seemed quite crisp but again I bet those are changed often. The patterns however are not new. And if you are wondering if BCV has white duvets like Y&BC and the other deluxe convention hotels, the answer is no.

Thanks for the info. We booked at the BC resort, and we may try to switch for the villas at our 7 mo. window.

Do they have flat screen tv's?....Our studio in July didn't....were we just unlucky?

Anyone with pics of the refurbished BCV rooms please post. We will be there the week of July 4th and would like to see the rooms after the refurbishment.

Yes, we had a 2 BR lockout and all three TVs were flat screen. However, the studio/second BR did not have a DVD player.:confused3

Starting sometime this Fall, I noticed people reporting flat screen TVs at BCV.

Sorry. I took a couple pictures of the new living room couch but they are very lame....just show the fabric really. I may have taken a photo of the banquette. Didn't take one at all of the pretty new couch in the studio as I didn't realize it was different until I saw a photo of the old pattern on the DIS when we returned home. But photos won't look that much different as most of the patterns and furniture are the same.

Yes, when I was there in October, I had a flat screen TV. But someone who was there the same time as me reported that they still had that tiny old kind of TV. And they added those Iports, or whatever they're called (where you plug in and recharge things, looked like a radio). One morning I left my room without it, came back that night and one had been added.

Sorry, no photos.

Bumping this back to the top.... I tried searching for this but couldn't find the answer.....How are the pull out sofas? Were they replaced? Are they comfy? I found that the sofas at WL are super comfy and the ones at Kidani are not very comfy at all and we ended up not using the pull out bed at all. Thanks for your help!

We did a split stay at AKV Kidani and BCV at the end of January this year. We were in a studio in both. The pull out sofa at BCV appeared to be an older style, but I can't be certain. We did not end up having anyone sleep on it - just pulled it out to see if it was suitable for our toddler to sleep on. The one at Kidani seemed to be a newer style, but I can't speak to comfort. DD2 enjoyed it!

I love those duvets - I'd pay extra per month (I may be in the minority) to see all the DVC properties upgrade to those. They are just soooo comfy...

Just realized you were looking for BCV not BWV. Enjoy the pics anyway.

My DW and I just returned from long weekend January 28th to the 31st. We stayed in a studio (3005) which was a boardwalk view near Jellyrolls. The room was refurbished and here are some pictures of the room and views. We loved the room and the views, but when people write that it is noisy, they are not kidding. Every night at 2am we were woken up by the people leaving Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall.
