BCV Room Request?

I searched for this, but didn't get any hits.

I'm renting points for the first time and will be staying at BCV. (SO EXCITED about that!) I sometimes make room requests and sometimes don't on vacations, but wondered if there's any really great spots we should try for. Is this even done with DVC like it is with "regular" rooms? BTW - we have 3 studio rooms reserved.

With DVC, requests should be made at the time the reservations are made. We are specifically told NOT to call a room comptroller to make requests directly to the resort. If you have not had the owner make requests for you prior to this, you could still do that, but they are requests only. Frankly, I always just "take what they give me" and roll with the flow. What might be a great spot for one person might be horrible to another. I have certainly learned what areas I do and don't like that way.

BCV really doesn't have any spectacular views - of the photos I've seen posted I've liked rooms overlooking the pool best.

With three studios, your best request may be "close to one another" but with three studios I think the chances are you'll be all over the resort anyway.

Thanks. This will be our request, then, as it is most important to us. If they can put us close together, it really doesn't matter where we are. I just didn't know if there were any rooms that were more outstanding than others. We, too, are generally "take what you get" kind of people and can usually find something we really like about the particular room we're in.

I requested an upper floor EPCOT side (there is no real EPCOT view). I was there Sunday and Monday night in a studio. Was in 431 (4ht floor) had a good view of the US pavilion spire and could see about ½ the higher fireworks. Also had a huge balcony (20+ feet long). The room was great and loved the pull out sofa bed, really well engineered though not as comfortable as the regular beds.

I stayed in a room on the "back" side, not quite EPCOT "view", but could see both the EPCOT and MK fireworks from the balcony. Some couldn't been seen because of the trees, but the higher ones were in perfect site. This was pretty neat since both went on at the same time most nights. Wish I could remeber the room number!

we stayed at BCV last summer and made no request for which room location we had.

Our room was a 2BR and we had a nice view of the DVC pool; we were up high on the top floor - 4th or 5th I can't remember; we enjoyed the view and would gladly stay in the same area again.
