BCV room refurb?

Great. Thanks Disneydenisel! We just got back from AKL and I'm already thinking about the next trip and really looking at the BCV. It looks great but I heard a lot of the rooms have bad views. I think my 11 year old would really enjoy it and my wife and I are beach people. Location looks great and we've never been to the BC. And now it's being updated? Thanks for the quick response!

We checked in yesterday for our first stay as BCV owners. I was a little apprehensive to stay here after all of the unflattering comments on the condition and theming of the room. Having just stayed in the regular hotel for BC, I was afraid these rooms would be a major let down.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to walk into our room. I'm assuming its been refurbed recently, but I have no frame of reference. The room doesn't look like the photos on some other websites so that should be a good indication.

The rooms have a very nice beachy theme, do not appear shabby and are just perfect for us. Maybe our standards are lower then other people, but I have had not one single issue with the quality, cleanliness or condition of our villa.

Last week, they had one of the first floor wings totally closed off for remodeling. Saw alot of painters coming and going. One of those cold days when we were trying to cut through to somewhere warm, we accidently ended up in the hallway. They had furniture inventory forms on all the doors...not sure if they were replacing or just moving around. Looking forward to hearing some updates!

They have a section of the 1st floor closed off. I'm guessing they are on the last floor of the refurb. Its not as luxurious as the cash rooms, I'll say that, but its also not "bad" in any way shape or form.

No refurbishment at BCV. Only a soft goods change out. It's newer than OKW and BWV by several years.

Why not start your own thread rather than opening up a creaky old one from two years ago? Your questions might get better notice.
