Hello!
I'm looking into the idea of staying at BCV for our next WDW trip (probably late Jan., early Feb. 2004). I feel like I'm always posting this about my DH (he'd be mortified if he realized it!), but he's prone to migraines and really needs some restful downtime to offset how hectic the time at the parks tends to be. The last two times, we've stayed at WL with a Woodsview, which has been perfect. Do the BCV have any restful views (while I like the idea of seeing EPCOT, etc., something more like a gardenview would be better for DH.) Also, are the BCV noisy as a rule?
Thanks!

The views toward the woods are the most peaceful IMO although I also love the Epcot view. What type room are you getting? I think I would request a dedicated room if possible. I don't know if they have dedicated one bedrooms but I know they have dedicated studios. We've had two studios and a lockoff 2 bedroom so far. One studio was a lockoff and I could hear the family in the 1 bedroom at times. Could smell their bacon cooking too which might bother some one with migraines?? It just made me hungry.:D

Hi Karla- While we would not classify any of the BCV views as "noisy" persay, they probably do not have the same serenity at the VWL woods views. Those are probably about as serene as you can get!

We've only stayed at the BCV once, but we've walked all around it. Most views are very nice, with some greenery and low noice levels. Even the Epcot views are removed enough from the park to not really pick up on the park noise (if anything, the Epcot side picks up a little bit of road noise from Epcot Resorts Blvd.). Do expect to hear some of Illuminations, though!

If you haven't been to the BCV, we'd suggest you give them a try. They are right in the middle of everything, but still offer a beautiful retreat from it all.

Enjoy!

One really nice thing is that you could easily go back to your room from Epcot or MGM for a quiet afternoon, and then return to either of these parks for the evening. That (along with Stormalong Bay) was our favorite part of this resort. The walk to Epcot was SO nice and easy.

Great suggestion about the dedicated studio! And thanks for the input from everyone!

I found the BCV to be VERY noisy. We had an EPCOT view and faced the back of the land pavilion. I found the noise from the road to be loud and the trucks beeping as they backed up to the land actually woke me up early in the a.m (not sure what time, it was still dark!)

Illuminations was grea to be able to view, but I will never ask for that view again. It was way too loud for my tastes, and we were on the 5th floor.

Haven't found any noise problems at BCV. Maybe earplugs help.
