BCV pool question

We are staying at the BCV in a few days and are packing. My question is can we take our own tubes for the pool or do we use theirs? I didn't know if they are hard to come by. I'm not sure if they allow families to bring their own. Thanks so much

You cannot use your own floats at BCV, but you can use your own swim noodles. Floats are available for rental, and noodles are available for purchase, I believe at Stormalong Bay.

Hi - we were there 2 weeks ago and I second this! You can rent the tubes by the hour or for the day. Have fun! I LOVE BCV!

Not a tube but I brought a float to use for my then 8 month old. I would just rent a tube for the other family members...I doubt Disney would ever run out of them.

Actually, they do! I've learned that one from experience - we had to wait until someone turned one in to get one. That's only happened once (I think) in the 4-5 times we've stayed there, so I'm guessing it isn't common.

I've also been when they didn't have pool noodles to sell.

They also had swim/life vests for little ones. We got one for my 4 yr old. There was no charge for it when we were there in Feb.

We are bringing our own noodles next trip but out of curiosity what is the cost to rent a tube or buy a noodle? Just an approximate price is fine. Thanks!

I would love to know this also. We just got our waitlist for BCV and now I am trying to learn all about it since it will be our first stay. I hear all about the pool SAB, but now I realize I don't know a bit about it. Where and when do you need to rent tubes? Is this for the lazy river? I just assumed there were tubes to be used and not that it was a cost. Is it expensive and do DVC members get discounts?? We are flying so won't be able to bring the noodles. Thanks!

There is a poolside shop at SAB that rents tubes, sells noodles, sunblock, water/squirt guns, etc.

Many people enjoy lounging in tubes in the lazy river & other parts of the pool. If you want a tube, you need to rent, as they are not just given out to sit in the pool all day.

I don't recall the cost, but no, as of last summer, DVC members do not get a discount.

Just a warning about the "lazy river". It's very short and not that lazy. It's about 8 feet deep with a strong current. If you or your children are not good swimmers, you'll want to keep them away from that area of the pool.

Thanks for the news I went and bought the noodles today at the dollar store. LOL Thanks for the heads up about the lazy river I did not know that is was so deep but both of my children are good swimmers. Few days to go !!!!!

Comparing the "lazy river" at SAB to the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon would be like comparing your driveway to I-75.
