BCV or WLV?

We're going to WDW the second week of Dec and will be taking our 2 daughters ages 4 and 8. We will also be with two grandparents, both are in their 60's and very active. The grandparents have never been to WDW except a short 1/2 day trip into Epcot a few years ago. We want a Villa hotel close to the parks and have it narrowed down to BCV and WLV. I don't know if we'll be able to use the pools in Dec so maybe this shouldn't even be a consideration? Which do you think would be better for a multigenerational family trip?

It depends on where you plan to spend your days. If you are going to MK a couple of days, I'd pick WL as the BC transportation to MK is not the greatest. Also, WL is such an awesome hotel for Christmas decor and you'll be right there in the villas.

If you are spending your time evenly spread between the parks, BC is a great location. Not only is it walking distance to 2 parks, but the dining selection within walking distance can't be found anywhere else.

Just know that if this a low crowd time, BC shares buses with all of the Epcot resorts and it's the last pickup. We've often had standing room only buses to both MK and AK in the mornings because the buses are already full when they get to BC. It doesn't really bother us but some people hate that. In the busier times, BC will still share with YC and the buses could still be full by the time they get to BC. Buses to/from DTD from Epcot resorts are always horrible IMO.

As far as the villa themselves, I prefer BCV. The decor is more to my liking.
