BCV or BWV

Hi everyone,

Going on a trip in April for DD7's birthday. Already booked at AKV Jambo but would love something new this trip. My question to those that have been to both - would you recommend BCV or BWV? It's just DD, DH and me on this trip...

If your daughter loves to swim & has never experienced Stormalong Bay, I would definitely recommend BCV over BWV. My 8 year old daughter just loved SAB. If the pool isn't a deciding factor, I don't think you can go wrong with either. BCV had a recent soft refurb, BWV is undergoing a complete refurb right now. Both are an easy walk to Epcot.

BWV's refurb is scheduled for completion in Jan and thus you would essentially be getting an almost "new" room in April. However, April is 6 months out and a busy DVC period. Thus, you may have difficulty finding anything at BCV or BWV.

Which theme park(s) do you like to visit? BCV is definitely closer to Epcot, if you prefer to spend more time there. However, BWV is more centrally located between Epcot and DHS if you like both equally. One big plus for us is that when staying at BCV, you can get to Beaches and Cream without getting wet if it's raining. Also, we like that you can get CS meals (BC Marketplace) without going outside uncovered (again, if it rains).

Honestly, they are both great resorts. I slightly prefer BCV, but my DH and DM slightly prefer BWV. And I have to say, having just come back from one of the renovated rooms at the BWV, I was very impressed. I do like the new feel of the rooms, so at the moment, BCV's only edge for us is Stormalong Bay. BWV also generally has better views than BCV. The boardwalk view is one of the best available in WDW, and some of the preferred views are nice. (Some are a waste of points, IMHO, but many are pleasant.)

BWV is much closer to DHS if you like to walk to the parks. BCV has a better pool. You really can't go wrong with either.
