We're going to Disney in September, 2012 and will be calling at 9 AM. I'm making a list of what I'd like and the order which I'd like it in. We'd like a studio (standard or preferred) at BWV or BCV.

I'm debating whether I'd want a studio at BLT or a 1 bedroom at BCV or BWV if the studio isn't available. Is it worth the time to debate that? I' m wondering if there's any chance BWV and BCV would be booked and BLT would not be. Just want to makes sure we have all of the bases covered. :-)

Thanks!

I think your best chance to land a room considering the three resorts would be BWV. It is much larger than BCV so you'll have a much better chance of getting a room. Since BLT is still fairly new it is still very popular.

I have gotten BWV a few times at seven months but never got BCV.

We are going to BWV in January. I tried booking BCV for that time at the 7 months window, nothing available in a studio! Could have waitlisted but like BWV too, so not an issue. Six weeks and counting.:yay:

When in September? Early to mid September is pretty quiet. Towards the end of September Food & Wine starts and BWV & BCV are usually booked.

We have been successful with waitlist. We've done split stays since we can't book until four months before our summer trips and two months out for our winter. We waitlisted in Sept for our upcoming Dec trip and landed BCV for four nights.

The biggest draw to BCV is Storm Along Bay. It is a very cool pool and the amount of draw it has depends on whether you are pool people and the ages of your kids. You wouldn't get me near BCV with my own kids in the six to eight range - and by 11 we'd rather be at the waterparks. I like the layout of the rooms a little better, but don't like the resort as much.

I like BWV better, but its "home" for us. The biggest draw to BWV is views - which MAY not be available at seven months out. Boardwalk View is very nice, Standard View is wonderful from an economy standpoint. But if you end up with only having ordinary preferred view available - it won't be any worse than the views at BCV, but you lose the big draw of BWVs.

1. Bw - boardwalk view
2. Bw - standard view
3. Beach club
4. Bw - pool/garden view.

I'm not sure how I would place blt in that mix.

I might put bw garden view ahead of bcv if you don't swim.

We own at Beach Club and decided to try Boardwalk on our last trip. I must say we felt there was no difference in the room, but we hated the size of Boardwalk. It did not help that we were in the last room down the very long halls and I had requested near the elevator. I know requests are just that, a request, but to get the exact opposite was a bit of a disappointment. I do not think we will stay at Boardwalk again unless we have no other choice.

We like Beach Club because it is small. We never go to Stormalong Bay and use the pool at the villas. It is so quiet there we are often the only people at that pool.

I just booked a studio at BCV for June at exactly the 7 month mark. We also stayed at BWV in Oct. I loved BWV even though I had the last room at the end of a long hallway. Can't wait to try BCV.

We own Boardwalk, and the walk from our room to SAB at Beach Club was longer than anything we've had at BW. We hated the long distances at BC, which we've never found a problem at BW.

We thought that nothing was convienent with the Villas tucked behind the main resort (its something I don't like about WLV as well).

The Villas pool is convenient and quiet, and if you don't use SAB, or visit the lounge at the resort, it probably isn't bad.

we found the BCV walk to the pool, or anything other than the quiet pool, rather looooooong also :confused3 also, we have been offered BCV a few times when BWV was unavailble (we rescheduled our trips in those cases - we just prefer the quiet, with access to many activities available at BWV).
btw, we own at both resorts:)

I think for us it was a matter of expectations and knowledge. At BW I know I'm going use what my kids call "the secret shortcuts" - the stairways and passage between the Village Green and the pool and then the stairs back up through the lobby - to get where I want to go.

The other thing I REALLY didn't like was traipsing through the lobby in my swimsuit to get to SAB.
