We are on waitlist for BCV 11/3-11/10 and time is running out. Anybody get their waitlist wish? I am about ready to cancel our waitlist reservation.

Just wondering!

You don't have anything to lose by staying on the waitlist. There may be people still on the fence about going and they can cancel without penalty 31 days out. If you think you still want BCV, I would stay on the waitlist.

I agree with bobbi, you have nothing to lose. If you want a little encouragement, we were waitlisted for BCV last November 12-17, and it came through for us. Good luck:thumbsup2

I'm waitlisted for just 11/1, but tonight booked that night at Pop Century so we'd have a place to sleep if it doesn't come through. I got 11/2 & 3 at Saratoga just about a week ago, but since those nights are Fri/Sat it's not surprising!

Early November is a tough time to get a dvc room unless you're booking at 11 months it seems.

I tried in late June/early July for a 1BR at OKW, Nov. 6-13. Could only get SSR, so I booked that and waitlisted OKW. My ressie came through about 3 weeks ago, so there is movement in the system.

This is the third time that I've been waitlisted and did get my request. I realize that BCV is much more popular than OKW, but I would not get off that waitlist. Hopefully you booked somewhere else in case it doesn't come through.

thanks for the encouragement. I have a reservation at OKW as a backup. I think I will let it ride.

I have a studio booked at SSR for Nov. 25-30 but waitlised for a studio at the Boardwalk. Hopefully it will come through!

Hang in ther and keep the faith!! :thumbsup2

Nice Pats pic in your sig phorsenuf too by the way. I think I'm gonna have to plagurize(sp?) a copy of that lol. ;)

i'll be at pop 11/9-11 and bcv 11/11-16 celebrating my 50th which is the 13th

we havnt purchased DVC yet, in the process... most everything i have read on this site makes it seem like getting a Ressie is not a problem... except for this thread. Are most people in this thread having problems getting ressies due to short notice booking? ( a couple months out ) - or a non-home resort (7 months)... or is it the home resort-11 month window that people are being put on the waiting list ????

Jim - We are trying to get BCV in Nov during Food and Wine Festival - which is quite difficult. I have other reservations at OKW as a back up. I tried getting BCV at the seven month window and it was all booked. I think the determining factor is when you are going. We have chosen a very busy time and a resort close to EPCOT. My home resort is SSR and therefore could have booked there no problem at 11 month window. I think in this case it is just a busy time to go.

I am a new DVC member and what I have learned is the cheap point times are the busy DVC times. Better weather - busy DVC time. However, I might be wrong.

What does everybody else think?

We had been waitlisted for 4 nights during Thanksgiving week. We had 2 nights over the weekend but needed Wed and Thurs. Wait list just came through this week for SSR. Back on the waitlist for all 4 nights at BWV or BCV but are thankful just to get to be at WDW for Thanksgiving.

Good luck and don't lose faith. We have been on many waitlists and never disappointed.

we have been on the wait list for the same dates 3rd Nov to the 10th for a studio at the BCV from the 7th month

It also depends on what type of accommodations you want. Two years ago we tried to get a 2BR at OKW for F&W in Nov. OKW was not available, but BWV was, and this was at 5 months out. I thought it was kind of strange that BWV would be available, but not OKW. We waitlisted OKW and it did come through. So sometimes it's not just the time of year, but also what you need occupancy-wise...

Good Luck!
