:bounce: I have never stayed at a DVC room before and I was going to try it this year for the first time. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this resort for a studio room. Is the DVC rooms far from where you would go for refilled coffee and breakfast? How far is it from the main building and will this have an effect on my trip? Are the rooms decorated nice enough that they don't look worn or outdated? Also, I heard that housekeeping only comes in like 1 time a week, is this true? Are there any other things I should keep in mind about this hotel? Should I opt for another DVC? Sorry for the massive questions....any info is good. What should i look forward to with it. I love the hotel, always have. I love the location also. Look forward to some feedback. :rotfl:

Well, let's see...where you are located in the DVC part of the resort depends on the distance to the main building. There are some units that are quite close to the front entrance of the DVC building, which then has a nice covered walkway over to the Beach Club hotel. Once you go into the hotel, you are pretty close to the gift shop/market, which I believe has coffe etc. You are also pretty close to the hotel's main lobby, and there is a little continental breakfast buffet that gets set up in the Ebb Tide lounge, which is right off the lobby near the Cape May cafe. At least, there was a little continental breakfast buffet there last time we stayed at BCV, which was last year I think.

When I was last year, the rooms were nice. On occasion, you may have a minor housekeeping/maintenance issue, but I have always found the staff quickly resolves it when I call, and it certainly doesn't happen pften, or at least hasn't happened often to me.

You don't get a daily maid service in a DVC unit unless yopay extra for it. What you get is a "trash and towel" service on day 4 of your stay...basically they empty the trash and give you fresh towels. On day 8 of your stay, you get a full housekeeping. You do have a washer/dryer in the 1BR and larger units, so if you wanted to wash your towels in between, you certainly could, without any hassle.

Hope I have answered your questions. the BCV is one of our favorites!

If you go through CRO to book a DVC room you will have housekeeping every day, just like a hotel guest. Since they opened the new deli area inside the old gift shop, many of the BCV rooms are closer to the place to refill mugs and purchase food than the rooms at the BC are. The rooms are no worse for the wear than any other high use hotel rooms. If there is an issue, call and it will be fixed. We stayed at the GF last New Year's and there were more issues with our rooms than when we just stayed at the BCV's.

The BC was always one of our favorite hotels at WDW. Switching to the BCV's was not an issue for us at all. We are very glad we purchased DVC points there.
