If you are a DVC member there is a laundry room available for use in the villas.

I wouldn't count on being available to use it whenever you'd like though....there's only 2 washing machines and one has been "Out of Order" for over two months now.

I just found it, its on the 4th floor. And that washing machine is still "out of order", LOL

Personally, I think that it is really unacceptable for that machine to be out of order. We were there at the beginning of July and it was out of order. Sad......

Unless you notify Member Satisfaction, you really can't complain. Anyone who finds them out of order should notify Member Satisfaction.

A friend told me the same machine was out of order in September 2011, I don't know if it has been fixed in between times.

so many people know the same machine has been out of order for a long time. you all need to call dvc, the manager of bc and guest services and complain. unacceptable for it to be broken that long. us dvc owners pay a lot in maintenance every month

A Member Satisfaction team member called in response to my e-mail and said that both washing machines are currently operable. She confirmed this with BC engineering staff who checked both machines. Keeping my fingers crossed this is true.

We just returned from the BCV, and the one machine is still broken. Apparently this has been a problem for quite some time. I went to concierge and asked where else to do laundry. I was told about the machines by the quiet pool for the hotel. I then asked about the cost - $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry. I told the manager that it was ridiculous to have two washing machines for all the studios and when one was out of order it caused major problems. He then asked how many loads I had to do. I told three but would settle for two. He gave me enough quarters to do both loads. Maybe everyone needs to go to the desk and get quarters to do laundry so the machine will get fixed. While we're at it, there needs to be more than two washers and dryers for all the studios to use.

Maybe they don't know the villas have their own laundry room so they keep getting reports of a broken machine and keep checking the hotel laundry and fixing those machines repeatedly.

I got a call today after my email to MST saying the washer had been fixed and they were looking into replacing them.
