:hyper: I am SO excited. We booked our first trip as DVC members at BCV. We can't wait to go "home" for the first time.

I am also excited to bring my parents with us as they just don't get my Disney obsession. Maybe after they go back they will understand a little. (Or think me even nuttier? LOL)

Anyway, we have a 2 bedroom. Should I call back and request any particular floor or room or building etc? We aren't really that hard to please and will just be happy to have a room bigger than the ones at the All-Star resorts.

Just wanted to tell someone who will understand my utter joy and excitment! :hyper:

Hey CathyC - Welcome Home! We'll be there in January too - first week of the month. We're staying in a 1 bedroom, bringing my brother who has never been to WDW, so it should be a blast!

This will be our second trip, we stayed in a Studio this past Feb and thought it was wonderful.

I share your excitement - going home is always something to look forward to!!!

Outside of the handicapped-or-not and smoking-or-not choices, which you definitely should specify in your request, you might try to think of one thing that would most please or aggravate your parents and hang a request on that.

Do they hate a long walk from the elevator?
Do they hate noise from an elevator shaft?
Do they hate noise from a pool in the evening?
Do they hate footsteps overhead?
Do they love a secluded or active view?
Do they love a view of landmarks?

As you read through the thread cited above that discusses various ins and outs of different locations, look for ONE thing that can either make or break your trip. Call MS and have them put it on your reservation as a request. While you're checking in, pleasantly restate your preference (you could tell the CM, "It would make my parents very happy if...).

And even after all this work, don't sweat it. At busy times you can't get all your requests anyway, and you'll probably find that if you are happy your parents will be happy.

We were in room 434 (NS) in January and it was a wonderful room with fantastic special stuff. It overlooked the quiet pool dead on and at night you could see the WISHES fireworks from MK. To the left you could see the canal and the entrance into BCV's. It was close to the elevators too. But, in addition to all that- it had a HUGE 3 door patio that was wonderful to go out on at night to watch the fireworks or sit and just soak in the reflection of the pool. We had orignally requested an EPCOT view, and I was slightly disappointed when she told me we had a pool view- but it only took stepping in the door to see I was gonna love that room! AND WE REALLY DID!
