How are the crowds at SAB in January? How are the pools? Do they have lifeguards year round?

I'm driving myself crazy with all of these DVC choices! There is a part of me that regrets purchasing because of all these great options. I flip flop all over the place.

There are life guards when the pool is open. In Jan, it can often be too cool for the pool and if gets too cold, they sometimes close the pool. Though one may have warm weather and be able to use pool, I would not make a resort choice anywhere at WDW in Jan based on the pool.

We did BCV end of Jan 2013 and it was pretty warm. The crowds at SAB weren't bad but its wasn't deserted either. There were lifeguards. We were at BCV for 5 nights but only went to SAB once. I got in the hot tub (which some little kids were in by themselves but as soon as I got in they left :confused3). DDs wanted a tube for the lazy river (which I had to pay to rent) but they didn't do too much with it and kind of sat around whining (DDs were 14 and DS was 16). All the lounge chairs in the sun were taken and we had to grab some in the shade (was a tad chilly when wet and in the shade). DH was at gym with DS and then DS joined us at SAB while DH continued in the gym. I went back to room with one DD who was biggest whiner and the other 2 kids came back shortly later. My kids did go to the BCV quiet pool a few times and seemed to prefer that.

You are exactly right. I'll scratch it off my list.
