We have our reservations for Pres. Week at BCV for a Ded. 2 Bdrm w/2Q's. Wahooo!!!! Now I am wondering where these 25 rooms are located?? Anyone know??

So far I have gathered the following information (much of it from InstImpres):

Ded. 2bdrm w/2Q's:
302, 307, 324, 333, 377, 378, 433, 442, 451, 453, 533, 553

Ded. 2 bdrm w/1Q&sofa:
154, 202, 224, 254, 268, 434, 454, 467, 478, 542, 552

Can anyone add to this list????

I am really showing my obsessive-compulsive information gathering/planning side (it can take over my rational side on occasions). I'm in the process of creating a crude room map of BCV. I would like to get the 2Q and smoking rooms figured out.

Thanks

I would love to see what you end up with before our trip to BCV in 30 days. We have a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds.
Thanks

The smoking optional rooms are on the 4th floor, down the small wing that juts out toward the road in the back.

Could anyone with the two queens tell me what their reservation reads? Mine just says two bedroom but MS said I reserved the two queens. Thanks.

MIne says 2 BR/2 queens and request for non=smoking. I'd feel more comfortable seeing 2 queens on the ressie

I have had a 2 bedroom with 2 queens 3 times now and the reservation has said something different each time. I was really concerned the 2nd time since the first time my reservation acutally said 2 Bedroom Dedicated/2Q or something like that and the 2nd reservation just said 2 Bedroom Dedicated so I e-mailed membership services with my confirmation number and asked the if I had 2 queens booked and they assured me that I did. I printed the e-mail out and took it with me.

can you explain what the "dedicated" means? I see in the book about a standard and a perferred room, but nothing about dedicated.
Thank you! :teeth:

First I just have to share... I just returned from my DD second grade play. It was so sweet watching all those kids trying swaying together and sing out of tune! It brought tears to my eyes!

OK, I'll work backwards...

Kerlynne - A "dedicated 2 bedroom" unit is one that can only be used as a 2 bedroom. The other option is often refered to as a "2 bedroom Lock-off". This is a 2 bedroom that is configured so that an interior door can be lock to create a 1 bedroom unit and studio unit. These units are also considered 'lock-off's as well. BCV has both dedicated and lock off 2, 1 and studio units. I understand BWV has only lockoff units. (I could be wrong about that) BWV has two "price" structures for a preferred & boardwalk view and standard view.

Terrry S - Do you know the bed configurations of any other Ded. 2 bdrms?? I was hoping you might know a couple more. Do you still have that old map of BCV?

nisiemouse- I checked my confirmation and it only said 2 bedroom as well but when I reserved they repeated that it was a 2Bdrm w/2Q.

zulaya- Thanks. Do you know if there are any smoking rooms outside this hallway? Doc had some listed in the main hallway near the intersection of the smoking hallway. It seems like too many rooms if those are truely smoking as well.:(

SSRex - It looks like I might not get anymore info on the 2 queens. Oh well, It was worth a try. I am such a map (visual) person that I just couldn't rest until I had this map. RoyalCanadian had a link to the floor plans submitted to the county (I subsituted Beach for Saratoga). However, the BCV was submitted in 79 sections! I was having trouble downloading the PDF's so had to view it on the screen. Hense, a hand drawn map. I used Doc's thread to place the room numbers and checked it with Instimpres's room reports. I want to make it pretty eventually (draw/scan in computer).

Units 201 and 241 are both dedicated with the second bedroom being a queen and a sleeper sofa. By the way, 241 has a full balcony straight across the unit and it overlooks the wetlands and a pretty garden. 201 has a view of the main entrance to the BC, not very appealing for someone who likes to do some quiet reading in the afternoon. Reading at Disney, yup, my DH is one of those.

442 is a "smoking optional" room with a partial epcot view (looking out the right side of the balcony).
2 BR 2 Q

Thanks for checking your reservation lisareniff. I may email MS like TerryS at some point to confirm the two queens. We stayed in a two queen room on the third floor last summer but I can't remember the room number and I usually keep that. If I find it I will post. It would be great to have a complete list.

I believe I also read somewhere that there are not 2 BR Dedicated with 2 Q on the first floor.

Not 100% on this, but I am pretty sure I read that here on the DIS.

Thanks for helping me with my quest. If anyone else has info on BCV 2Q/2bdrm room numbers or smoking rooms outside the forth floor hallway I would love to hear it!!

Patty3 - Thanks for the info. I'll add it to my list.

LoveToDisney - I read about your trip. I'm so sorry you got a smoking room. I really hate the smell of smoke, but don't have any medical issues, just a strong dislike. They should really put smoking/non-smoking in different catagories.

nisiemouse - I would verify with MS too if it was important. If DH parents come along I'll send them an email too.

erikthewise- Yes, I love Doc's thread. It is a great resource that helped me so much understanding the resort. I used his post to place room numbers on my floorplan. Everything seemed to fit together well. One thing to note is that Doc listed the room numbers and his best guess of what room was behind the door. Usually where there were 2 doors it was a 2 bdrm lockoff, etc. There are a couple places where this might not have worked (assuming my floor plans are correct) Example: a single door may have been classified as a ded. 2bdrm but may be a ded. 1bdrm or even a studio. On all the floors in the middle of the pool view there were two ded 1bdrms that were classified as a 2bdrm lock-off.

zulaya - I remember reading that from someone as well. Maybe it was Sammie?? I wasn't sure how confident he was with that statement.

We just checked out of unit 352 two days ago. It is a dedicated 2BR with 2 queens and a very long walk from anything!

Yes, Lisa, I still do have that old map. It is only of the 4th and 5th floors and it was before they changed out the couch in 25 dedicateds to a queen so I can only tell if they are dedicateds, not if they are dedicateds with 2 queens. But here goes:

Dedicated Studios: 425, 431, 439, 440, 455, 461, 416, 414, 525, 531, 516, 539, 540, 555, 561, 566, 563

Dedicated 2 bedrooms: 433, 434, 441, 451, 452, 442, 453, 454, 467, 468, 477, 478, 424, 423, 424, 407, 404, 401, 402, 533, 534, 541, 551, 552, 542, 553, 554

Dedicated 1 bedrooms: 436, 438, 409, 466, 536, 538

Lockoffs 2 Bedrooms: 427 & 429, 428 & 430, 443 & 445, 449 & 447, 450 & 448, 444 & 446, 459 & 457, 460 & 458, 463 & 465, 469 & 471, 470 & 472, 475 & 473, 476 & 474, 422 & 420, 421 & 419, 412 & 410, 405 & 403, 406 & 408, 527 & 529, 528 & 530, 543 & 545, 549 & 547, 550 & 548, 544 & 546, 559 & 557, 560 & 558. (The Studio portion is listed first)

I can attempt to do some type of map in Photoshop or something and create a gif or jpeg file, but I don't have a server to put the picture on and post it.

All 3 times I stayed it was in 553, so that is the only one I know is 2 queens for sure.

threeprincesses - Thanks for the info. I added it to the list.

Terry S - Wow! thanks for the all the room configurations. That confirms the floor plans I used were that same as the what was built. (At least for the 4 & 5 floor.) You don't have to go to any more bother with the map. I think I've got it at this point. It was nice of you to offer.

Did you really stay in the same room for all three trips. Wow!

What is the view in room 553? You are very lucky that you were able to get that room three times. ::MinnieMo

352 is a dedicated 2br with 2 queen beds. It also has a view of SE.

Lisa

Don't worry about being obscessive. I have 2bed/2Q in March 2005 and did this myself after booking it. FOund out about as much as you and then final figured, ah well, with just 25 or so and requiring NS for medical reasons, my choices are limited, so I'll take what I get!

Just wanted you to know you are not alone.
